Saints After Leicester City Midfielder

Latest media reports suggest that Hamza Choudhury could be heading South from the King Power Stadium to St Mary's as Saints look to bring in a defensive midfield player in place of the Danish squad player who joined Spurs.

Hamza Choudhury has yet to truly take of for the Foxes and as he heads to his 23rd birthday next month he considering his future at Leicester and Saints are said to be interested.

But Leicester are said to be in rush to get rid of the local born player who has been at the club since a child and had broken into first team recognition in the season just gone.

One year into a four year deal he will not be sold cheaply and although he has to look at his chances at the King Power in the coming year he has strong emotional ties to the club.

But Saints seem willing to pay for a decent replacement for Hojbjerg and are considering Choudhury a player who can play as a defensive midfielder or in a more advanced role.

The only drawback is his lack of Premier League experience, he has played only 37 times in the Premier League for the Foxes totalling 1,861 minutes

But if it is the right price for Saints and the player sees his chances limited at Leicester then it could be a goer.

If he signs he will be the most recognisable player in the team with his distinctive afro style hair as evidenced in the picture at the head of this story.
