Pompey hope to reward their huge army of travelling fans with a clean sheet at MK Dons.
Boss Kenny Jackett is heartened that more than 6,000 tickets have been snapped up by Blues fans for the games.
And while he would love his team to get their first win of 2018 at the Stadium MK, he feels the road to success will start with a shutout.
He told the Pompey website: 'It’s a great turnout and all of us — me, my staff and the players — are looking forward to the game. We’ve got a fantastic following and now we’re determined to put on a performance that warrants that kind of support.
'If we can get on a good run in the last few months of the season then we can have a crack at the top six, but it needs to start now. So that kind of backing going up to Milton Keynes is great for us and something that we want to reward.
'We’ve been frustrated with a lack of clean sheets recently — it’s been nine games since we’ve had one. We’re always looking to improve in every department.'
Pompey have not won since the December 30 victory over Northampton at Fratton, while their last away victory was at Charlton three weeks earlier.
