Lionel Messi Hails Fraser Forster

None other than Lionel Messi has praised Fraser Forster describing a display against Barcelona as the best goalkeeping performance he has ever seen.

Fraser forster is probably not in a good place at the moment given his long term injury, but he will be boosted by the fact that one of the greatest current players in the world has hailed his performance for Celtic against Lionel Messi and his Barca team mates as the greatest goalkeeping performances he has ever seen.

The game in question was back in 2012 in the Champions league when Celtic beat Barcelona 2-1, Messi speaking to the Scottish newspaper The Daily Record said.

"Forster’s performance was ‘talked about for a long time"

"There was one game in Scotland where he was not human, it is the best goalkeeping performance I have seen.”

And the 27-year-old - who has scored 399 goals in 469 matches for Barcelona in all competitions should know what he is talking about with that sort of goals per game ratio.

The game in question was a 2-1 win for Celtic in December 2012 and Messi will probably also remember the performance of then Forster team mate Victor Wanyama who also capped a great display with one of the goals in that win.

Of course Fraser Forster will be a bit down in the dups at present, but it will no doubt help cheer him up that a great player like Lionel Messi rates that performance so highly
