Could Pochettino Be Leaving Spurs Before A Ball Is Kicked

Rumours are rife in the footballing World that Juventus are about to try and entice Mauricio Pochettino to become their new coach.

In a bizarre twist Antonio Conte has resigned as head coach of Juventus after only one day of pre season training, its been a stressful time for Conti of late as he was caught up in a match fixing scandal that for his part he was given a touchline ban for four months for failing to report attempted match fixing.

This did not stop him winning his third straight Serie A title in as many seasons with Juve, presiding over one of the clubs best ever periods in the league.

Now though he is gone and sources in Italy are reporting that Pochettino is on the club's hit list of possible replacements.

If Juve do come calling it will be interesting to see what Pochettino's reaction will be, Saints fans will claim that the man has little loyalty and in hindsight the Argentinian seemed to form little bond with Saints, either the club or the fans apart from clapping them at the end of a game, indeed he did not even show the media the courtesy of speaking in English too them, as if it was all part of a big game, whilst the fans loved him for getting Saints to 8th in the league, they soon found that the feeling was seemingly not mutual and that for him it was nothing more than a job, to be left behind the moment another club came calling with the offer of more money.

Pochettino is obviously ambitious and harboured hopes of working at bigger club's that Saints, now we will perhaps find out if those ambitions stretch further than Spurs and if Juventus come calling whether he will honour his contract or walk out of it as he did with Saints.

If he does go then it will leave Tottenham in chaos with less than a month to go to the season as they will lose not only Pochettino but his retinue of coaches that h has with him at St Mary's and who followed him to North London meaning that Spurs would not only lose a manager but their entire backroom staff.
