I agree with all of you. Except maybe RBLOCKPAT last sentence. Wigan have got 5 points from there last 3 matches; which means they might be getting red hot at the right time. Wolves are finally playing to their potential drawing away to newcastle, and blackburn have yakubu who will probably save them from relegation. only bolton seem to be worse than us (and they have the easiest remaining schedule apparently according to a website I read), and we play them in 2 weeks time and will probably lose that too, although we will have cisse back and might win.

Draw was about right we edged it but as usual were too negative last 20 mins more worried about saving a point then winning 3.
And again everton goal came from one of our own (taarabt),best players for me Zamora scored and laid balls off well, back 4 all good but Onuoha the star broke up so many of evertons attacks, biggest flops barton swp taarabt(2nd half).

How can the ratings be so generous to Barton? And isn't it ironic that the first candidate for the discard heap, Clint Hill, is probably our moss reliable defender.

I thought the match was pretty poor really. We came needing a win and it started to look likel towards the end of the first half with Antonio begining to get the better of your left back. In the second half we played longer and longer balls that went awry and Dale established themselves as the stronger, more purposeful side. I thought the pen was debateable but I need a second look, my relief whn your boy hit the post. Thought we ay have had a shout as time ran out.
By far the best entertainment of the day was the kids yellows v Blues where the Yellows nicked it against the run of play.

Best news of the day was that Oldham came back from 2 down to dump the Blades in injury time and just to put the icing on the cake Kuqi got the injury time winner.

Your Police, Stewards & Chippy were first class. Hope you get the requisite number of points needed.

MickB - The answer is simple, Barton played well.

Today.

I may be in the minority but Barton played well today, he drove the midfield forward and worked hard.

He may not be everyone’s ideal captain and he isn’t mine but despite what he earns, what he tweets and what people think. He had a good game today.

What a difference to last week! For once we were the best team on the field. Had Cisse played we would have won by 2 or 3 for sure

Thats the best I have seen Barton play for 6 months. SWP was still weak though.

Taarabt could have cost us the game - twice. He is just too casual - lazy -with his passing. He will loose us more games than he will win if he keeps on like that.

Maybe just maybe there is hope....

this was the first home game I have seen in 8 weeks following surgery, so my last game pre-dates JC.
My initial reaction is that not a lot has changed - OK the defence is much better but overall we don't look like winning football matches.
Drawing the remaining games 0-0 will see us go down and that is the best we can hope for unless we get some real creativity. It's not just down to the front men ( altho Symes does look pretty ineffectual) we need skill with the final ball and particularly more out wide.I thought Adams was pretty wasteful with some decent opportunities and Widdowson had a real nightmare defensively so never got forward. If we do go down then I hope that Dunphy has the balls to put his hand up and admit responsibilty....
