Interesting programme gibpving a good insight as to how matches are policed nowadays. However, I had no idea of the acrimony between Sunderland and Coventry due to Jimmy Hill’s delaying of an end of season game which meant Sunderland went down because they finished first and Civ and Bristol City played out for a draw meaning both stayed up. Sneaky Jimmy! |

Nigel seems to be voicing the opinions of the silent majority of this country. Yes? Or no? |

How perfectly timed was her appearance at the inquiry? Lucky Paula! |

Little chance though unfortunately. Getting truly sick of seeing that clip from 2012 and the commentator shouting Agurerrrooooooo!! Wish they’d crash and burn now. |
| Forum Thread | Man City VAR Penalty at 17:49 4 May 2024
I clearly do not understand VAR and penalty decisions. Ref gives Man City a penalty after being asked nicely by the players and no overturning by VAR when it clearly was not a pen. Why can’t VAR overturn blatant mistakes like these? |

Yes, they’re exciting for the fans and maybe that’s good enough. But, when you go through with these you do so at a team. If you don’t, you usually lose as an individual. Doesn’t seem fair to me. But sod it I suppose, they get paid enough😁 Tough luck Coventry. [Post edited 21 Apr 18:29]

It’s hard to criticise after two clean sheets and reasonably good performances by individuals but our stats of conceding from set pieces and not being particularly good aerially concerns me. A case in point was that near miss at the end today which I thought was going in to be honest. I watched Blackburn deal with so much today as a unit and wished we had that. Of course, consistency isn’t there with them or else they wouldn’t be in the position they are but they certainly showed what they could do. Views anyone? |

I do this most weeks but never really check. Once you’ve entered the scores they try and sell you a Sky Bet on your results (not scores) and what you’d win for a £10 stake. I never bet so I’ve never done it but an email came through today which allowed me to check my predictions against the actual scores. I got two right but five results right. The only one not showing was the Chelsea game which was playing at the time. It was 1-1 then Chelsea scored to make it 2-1. Then McBurnie scored in added time to make it 2-2. I had Chelsea down for a win! If I’d made the bet I’d never want to see McBurnie again. Thank God I didn’t😂 |

And it’s still IF, would you trust Luke Williams with a budget for next year. Play like this and we’ll be bottom next year. LW doesn’t seem to be able to motivate or woukd he say he doesn’t have the tools?? It’s unlikely he’ll go for financial reasons as much as anything else but let’s look at it hypothetically. |

This was on Sky News this morning but nothing as far as I can see in Wales Online. How strange🧐. Likely to be very damaging for the industry as prices will go up and customers will fall away. Welcome to temperate Wales. Retail, Leisure and Hospitality Rates Relief 2023-24 All applications for relief should be made to your local authority. Links to the relevant local authority application forms are available here. In 2023-24, the Welsh Government will provide £140m of targeted non-domestic rates support to businesses in the retail, leisure and hospitality sectors. Businesses will be eligible for 75% off their liability for the financial year. The amount of relief under the Welsh Government’s Retail, Leisure and Hospitality Rates Relief scheme will be capped at £110,000 per business across Wales. It will be for local authorities to determine how they wish to administer the scheme to maximise take-up and minimise the administrative burden for ratepayers and for local authority staff.
