My missus whent to Bishop Ramsay, early to mid-80's. And my Father-in-law was the head caretaker there from about 1981 until he retired in about 2007. I went to Berrymede primary & middle school (South Acton) from 81-87. Footy opponents that I can remember were... Southfields John Perryn Acton Green Christchurch Fielding Grange (I think) I'm sure there were others but I can't remember names. Then Ealing Green High School (in er... Ealing!) from 87-91. Footy opponents that I can remember were... Acton High Twyford Cardinal Wiseman Cardinal Vaughan Greenford Villiers Latymer Upper Northolt Walford Possibly Elm Park Brentside Drayton Manor There were others but I can't recall there names. Best times of my youth were those early saturday morning fixtures. Nothing better than having a cold, wet, muddy mitre ball being regularly aimed at me between the sticks! Loved it! Either that or we're lining up a deal for Son Heung-min! |
 | Forum Reply | Rumours about Marti going at 10:40 21 Feb 2025
Beale was £1.5m, which apparently Rangers weren't overly keen on paying, but had to. So as Marti (and Xavi) signed long term contracts just 6 months ago, I see no reason for any compensation to be less than £1.5m! |
 | Forum Reply | Neil Warnock on Sky as a pundit for Leeds/ Sunderland at 11:57 18 Feb 2025
Not only was he a brilliant manager for us, achieving an extremely rare Championship title for us, bringing in average players and making them play like world beaters, getting a tune out of Adel like no other manager could, equalling (I think?) our longest unbeaten run of league games etc... He done this while facing the pressures of a potential points deduction from the FA hanging over us. Warnock was fukking amazing for QPR!!! [Post edited 18 Feb 13:50]

That was a great watch. What really jumps out is the team spirit, talking, and support from to and from each player. We're in a really good place at the moment, and long may it continue. |

Yes they were most irritating, compared to the calm and measured Tyler and Andy. But would love to have heard there commentary for our goals though! |

Never really been given the same opportunity/minutes to show what he might be able to to do like Celar or Lloyd has though has he? And judging by his season so far(many goals and assists) and how he played against Man City over the weekend, he's clearly improved. |

Those 26 "appearannces" amount to about 3 1/2 - 4 games in total, spread over about 2 - 2 1/2 years! |

I actually found this argument by her defence barrister quite staggering... Grace Forbes, defending, said: "Nobody disputes the words that were said. "But simple words, even words like these, do not make you guilty of a criminal offence." She added: "The words were a comment, however poorly expressed, about positions of power, about privilege, and how those things might colour perception." |
 | Forum Reply | Chair finally in the middle long term? at 13:47 5 Feb 2025
Thought he was outstanding last night, especially in the first half. His performance deserved a goal, but he pretty much got both assists. For the 2nd goal, when Cook first receives the ball, Chair is right on the byline by the Paddocks. As Cook looks up, Chair starts to drift into the box. Cook's deep high ball recieves a collective groan from the crowd as they think his cross is way overhit until you see Chair darting in at the back post totally unmarked to head it back across goal. Brilliant play from both Cook and Chair there. |

Then we'll never sign anyone if you're worried about "what if's" all the time. |

"The rest is just descriptive"? What do you mean by that ? |

What's a bigger risk? 27 year old Dunne on a 4 year contract? Or 24 year old CB from a champ/league 1 club (that we might have to buy?) on a 3 year contract? [Post edited 4 Feb 16:20]
