A number of us in the away end knew after 5 minutes what sort of afternoon it would be and what sort of weak ref he was. Three soft fouls given for WBA but similar fouls not given for us.
It was clear from very early on that they were targeting Saito, particularly Furlong who seemed to be trying to get inside his kit every time they came together. Even if he hadn't elbowed him I'd have sent him off for repetitive fouling. Once Furlong had gone then Holgate and Bartley took over.
Their time wasting started in the first half and by my reckoning they've taken top place in the sh1t teams from Preston.
Maybe promotion is the only answer to their financial problems and they'll be gone if they don't go up. Hope so.
The day was topped off with the staff at the station closing the door on our fans because "the platform was full" while letting all the WBA fans in the other door. May they rot in hell. |

The time might possibly change but not the day. The 3pm rule doesn’t apply to a Monday so the Sky overlords don’t actually need to move anything that day.
It’ll be a few weeks before those tickets are on sale |

I’m still reserving judgment on Celar until I see him play in this team rather than the bunch of clowns he was having to play with at the start of the season. Those 2 finishes he got were decent and give me hope. |

Actually, it's 100% that it won't. The terms of the Sky deal includes...
"All opening, final day, and midweek fixtures in the Sky Bet EFL will be shown live."
and
"The new deal allows for 'Article 48', the blocked broadcast period between 2.45pm and 5.15pm on Saturday afternoons to remain, meaning that main broadcast fixtures will be scheduled for outside of this time."
Right now final day fixtures for Championship, L1 and L2 are all down as 3pm Saturday so to meet the deal terms all of them will have to move.
I'd not be surprised if 12:30 Saturday, 4pm Saturday and 4pm Sunday will be assigned to each league.
My guess is we get Sunday 4pm, mostly because the Prem has that slot a few weeks later.
Edit : actually I forgot that it is Bank Holiday weekend so I guess something could move to the Monday slots. [Post edited 17 Feb 19:00]

Kelman's performance was positively commented on by Tony Cascarino in the Times yesterday.
"Charlie Kelman, the striker on loan from Queens Park Rangers, was a real throwback. He made City’s defenders work for absolutely everything, won duels, ran channels and, on another day, might have capped his performance with a goal."
