Are UK artificial ski slopes necessary or economic? 17:21 - Mar 8 with 704 views | ReslovenSwan1 | I once used the ski slope behind Morrisons at Morfa 30 years ago. I did not enjoy the experience as it was nothing compared to snow. I would consider skiing in Eryri with slopes already under 2-3 degree with man made snow. I recently skied in Bosnia. The temperature were uncommonly mild -4c to +4c in the resort I went to. The thaw was slow enough with freezing over night to allow them to keep the piste open and create new snow.. https://www.walesonline.co.uk/news/wales-news/we-need-this-plead-merthyr-3115142

| Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

Are UK artificial ski slopes necessary or economic? on 19:47 - Mar 9 by ReslovenSwan1 | You tell people to put me on ignore me then comment. Why not follow your own advice ? . what a hypocrite. You are a natural bully calling out your mates for assistance. Clearly very insecure . I went and did cheap €100 a day including B and B skiing in Bosnia while visiting a friend after I managed to get out of the "dark narrow Neath Valley" . It was Bosnia not Klosters. Wales has people that are keen on wasting taxpayers money and get nowhere. Swansea tidal lagoon and Valleys F1 track spring to mind. The point was about temperatures where real snow and generated would work at those temperatures with altitude It might be a goer on Snowdon but not Merthyr. [Post edited 9 Mar 19:55]

Of course it won’t be the same. Nobody is saying it will be. But it’ll be a great facility that provides the opportunity for people to enjoy an exciting and physically demanding activity and learn the basics before they go to an actual resort. There’s a place up in Milton Keynes I go to regularly just to keep in practice, it’s nothing like the real thing but it’s still good.

We've been to the Tamworth and Manchester Snow Domes decent days out, Milton Keynes is the biggest one I think, well its got the longest run, doesn't beat the real thing of course, but like you say you can keep your skills up at these places, they don't prepare you for those black runs though or some of the Red runs, not been for years unfortunately I'd have to do some serious prep before I ever go again, not gonna happen though with my knees and back. Biggest mistake was to have stopped going.
