we were quite involved in said thread last year though few had us as seriously embroiled in the mire as some of the posters on here

robert snodgrass is broken....will be out for 6 months...massive blow for hull with their euro campaign.....i think they are defensively sound enough to not worry overly

malky going to palace adds one to front runners burnley

i don't see it with leicester

i watch a lot of championship stuff

still download the football league show weekly and they were a million miles better than anybody else in the championship last season
they haven't added a lot but i feel they are much better equipped to make the transition than the previous season's champions

i think they'll be comfortable.....or as comfortable as a newly promoted team can be in this league....bit like last year's hull but a little better

Leicester are a good shout as a dark horse to finish mid-table, especially if Ulloa does the business.

No particular order to my predictions,

Villa - not strong enough
Burnley - New boys - predictable choice (I wouldn't mind them staying up though at the expense of QPR)
Hull - Depending on europa and how far they get. I think they won't do as well as we did juggling the 2 competitions.

Can't see Palace going down as I predicted that last year.
I don't particularly like Leicester so they'll stay up to spite me.
QPR, as much as I would like to see them relegated again I think Harry will be OK with them.

Tubbs: Will heaven be like Swansea? Edward: Yes, Tubbs. Only... bigger.

I take part in an annual competition with a large group of mates, predicting top four and bottom three.

My relegation candidates are:

Crystal Palace - departure of Pulis, no significant strengthening
West Brom - looked very weak pre season, unknown manager (like Garry Monk!)
Burnley - enough said

Just because Pulis has gone from Palace means everyone thinks they will get relegated? It's the same side that did well last year, so aslong as nobody comes in and tears it all apart somehow, I see Palace staying up.

it's more that mackay is poised to become their manager for me

pulis did a magnificent job

mackay is no pulis

i imagine we'll see some plucky draws but absolutely no hope of them gaining half the 50 points they managed last year

a disagreement over backroom staff seems highly unlikely at this stage

more likely that tan called parish and gave him the lowdown

i don't see mackay getting a better opportunity at a premiership club than this one
seems unlikely that he's the one who turned it down

I think I have two outstanding matches from the weekend I've not seen. But... QPR Burnley West Ham is how I feel at the moment.

IMO, Palace and the crisp munchers will be OK, as much as I want to see Leicester go straight back down.
Think West Brom will be ok as well although in the mix like Sunderland, Southampton and Villa. Hull depending on their Cup run could well be dragged into the bottom 3.Possibly none of these safe until a couple of weeks before the end of the season

In no particular order

We're going to finish 10th with a decent FA Cup run (hopefully a day out at Wemberleeeey in May decent run!)

Burnley looks the obvious choice but Danny Ings and Sam Vokes could not stop scoring in the Championship. Aston Villa could be one in the mix as they did not have a great season last and not brought in much. Newcastle brought in 9 new faces but will they gel in time. They would be my three. Crystal Palace, West Ham, QPR, West Brom look like the other possible contenders.
