Another good patient performance. We kept our shape and discipline whilst we waited for the chances to come. Great time to score the first and we came out strong to defend our lead and wait for more chances.

Again whole team played well and did there job within the system. Hughes changed little things like pushing Onuoha forward to reduce the threat of Scott Sinclair running round him, which greatly reduced their threat.

Another good game from Diakite, I particularly like the way he runs with the ball through the opposition when no pass is on and gets us well up the pitch.

Another poor refereeing performance especially in the first half. I think it was nearly 33 mins before we won a decision!

Going forward does Derry come back in for Buz and later on Cisse for Mackie? I think yes to Derry as it is an away match but Cisse might have to start on the bench the week after.

Lets hope Mackie is fit.

We need to make sure we remember the Sunderland away match and put in another great effort on Saturday.

Today we and the rest of the league witnessed how to beat the Swans. Tactical masterpiece from Hughes imo. Let them play in their own half, be patient and don't press to high up the pitch. For all their possesion they only created chances from set pieces. When they go behind they don't have an answer do they? You can't score goals rolling the ball between your center halves, and they clearly showed they're weakness when chasing the game.

I'm not denying how vital the timing of Joey's goal was, couldn't have come at a better time. Credit to the fans as well for not losing their patience and start boing. Both fans and players got the reward when Joey belted in the first goal.

Like against United the whole team performed admirebly, difficult to single out any individuals, all scorers took their goals very well, defence faught valiantly.

All in all a massive win. For once we managed to win a 'must win game' that every QPR fan had pinned down as a win. Wigan's win doesn't take the gloss off it for me. Credit to them, well done, we can't have every result going our way. If we do our job we'll stay up end off.

Good comments all. There does now seem to be a method in the madness and the long-awaited gelling is going well. One well-played away game will do wonders too. Their confidence is on the up and up.

Kelvin Davis must have thought he was back at Sunderland! The back four were shocking. Three mistakes three goals conceded. This underlined what Nick had to say just a few weeks ago, if we go up we need a new defence and a new defencive coach. Their first was a carbon copy of Pompey's second last weekend. Fox not only gave the ball away but was outplayed by Kebe twice for two goals, and the shambles of the last goal was pure comedy.

It's no good having the ball for most of the game if you can't put it in the onion sack, or you leak like a string vest at the back.

Nine points still to play for, COYR

Wasteful up front and shocking at the back - I have seen better defending in the Tyro

We were mugged and if you walk down a street known for muggers you need to keep a good look out for them.

On the SFC site Butterfield says that if the play like that then we will get promoted. Play like that in defence and we will not get another point

It seems to me that whilst Saints have been practising their passing, other teams e.g. Pompey & Reading, have been practising putting the ball in the back of the net.

Still, what's done is done. Still 9 points to play for!

COYR's!!!

My worry is this, last night Fonte could not handle Roberts who is not good enough to play in a team that looks like it will be relegated.
When we get promoted how on earth is he going to handle the quality strikers who play in the prem? Even Torres would do well if Fonte was on him.
I think that Hooive would be ok and Martin looks a good squad player but if we don't get in some decent starting central defenders we are in for a very long season next year.

Harding must have watched that last night and wondered where the hell he went wrong, made the players team of the season last season but has had to sit and watch Fox make so many very basic errors which proved to be so costly.

End of season shopping list for starters, promoted or not.... 2 full backs, a centre back ( Fonte wont survive in the premiership on his current form) and a winger with real pace. Oh and ball distribution lessons for Davis please.

Very disappointing result. Unbelievable amount of possession and Ben Foster never tested. We're evens with the bookies to go down with Blackburn and Wolves. The Man City fixture could be a massive game for both sides after today's results. Hopefully we can we can win both our home matches and stay in the EPL.
