I wondered when the name Lampard would surface. These Lampards, Rooneys and Gerrards are like Brian Robson was from an earlier generation - great players who think they can walk into management.

We need a seasoned manager, not an ex player/s (admittedly legends) trading on their name hoping to short circuit themselves into PL Management.

Realistically Marsch is probably favourite and ironically Leeds are in the mire because they can't score goals. Probably second on the list is Espirito Santo, who did excellent work at Wolves but rather nosedived at Spurs. These two are most likely due to experience and availability.
Gallardo has won shed loads, with the biggest team in Argentina, would he want his first taste of English football to be relegation?

No thanks to either of them. I don't think Marsch is the right choice, nor Gerrard. Although with those two there is the question of bringing them is for the remainder of the season in a kind of s@#t or bust type of scenario. That's the thing, do you go for someone for the remainder of the season on the basis relegation is looking inevitable or go for someone to try and save us yet be around if we were to be relegated?

I'd go for Nuni Santos, Gallardo or in my dreams I'd have Pochetino back in a heart beat.

Many of " us oldies " recall that at least half of the 1966 World Cup side had a bash at managing at one time or another but wouldn't want to mention it on their CV afterwards.
We are unlikely to get a "British" manager who knows the Prem, and (sadly) the choice seems to lay between those who have already failed at this level and/or a foreign manager who can't speak half-decent English in an interview and will only want to bring in half of his old players at the next window.

The Board will need to polish up their crystal ball PDQ if we stand any chance of survival.
