Jos Hooiveld Off To Norwich City On Loan Monday, 1st Sep 2014 22:38 Jos Hooiveld is about to join Norwich City on loan as Saints look to trim the squad on transfer deadline day.
Jos Hooiveld is leaving Saints after three years at the club since joining from Celtic, although it will only be temporary as he joins Norwich City on loan in a move that will suit both the player who needs regular football and Saints who are probably unlikely to use him much this season, last season Hooiveld's only Premier appearances were a trio of games in late November early December.
Leaving Norwich in the opposite direction will be ex Saints Andrew Surman who is leaving Carrow Road and heading to Bournemouth on a three year contract.

He may have scored more own goals than any saints defender in my lifetime but he was brilliant the season we were promoted from the championship and he would always take a lap to clap and wave at the fans at the end of every home game i went too. Great Saints player and wish him all the best

Always gave 100%. He was just a victim of Saints rising so quickly up to the PL and like Billy Sharp and others found that the standard was a bit to high for them. Jos is a solid player for the Championship so hope he does well for Norwich.

I know its a loan but I feel this will be the last time big Jos is with us. He has been such a great servant to the club and gave nothing but 100% every time he played. Its a shame he is just a level down for what we need now. Wish him all the best. Will give him a cheer if he comes up against us
