Saints Struggling To Bring In Further New Blood Thursday, 28th Aug 2014 19:05 Saints manager Ronald Koeman has admitted he is struggling to bring in further new blood before the transfer windowo closes on Monday. Ronald Koeman has talked of how he feels that an attempt to sign Toby Alderweireld from Athletico Madrid is looking unrealistic with Sunderland now looking likely to land the central defender. Koeman also hinted that his attempts to bring Andros Townsend to the club may also be thwarted with the stumbling block being Saints refusal to sell Spurs Morgan Schneiderlin. But the Saints boss still feels he has irons in the fire although just what those irons are he has not admitted and it could be that he has a trick or two up his sleeve yet, if he has now is cerainly the time to produce it as the transfer window heads into its last four days. On another note Koeman said that he does not intend to allow either Gaston Ramirez or Jack Cork to leave, although strangely he does not seem to feel hat Cork is deservig of a new contract at the moment and refuses to be drawn on his long term future.
