Brendan Rodgers Looking For A House In Marchwood Monday, 14th Jul 2014 13:22 Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers is believed to be looking at buying a house in the Marchwood area of Southampton. Brendan Rodgers was allegedly spotted over the weekend looking in estate agents windows in Hythe and Totton as he seeks to find a suitable property in the Marchwood area. At a recent Anfield board meeting Liverpool owner John Henry is believed to have sanctioned the purchase of a small detached house in Marchwood for Rodgers to use whilst pursuing other members of the Saints first team squad who he has not managed to buy so far. Henry had become concerned that since the season ended two months ago, Rodgers despite being linked with 27 of the Saints staff in that time, including 1 groundsman, 3 tea ladies, a programme seller and several ball boys had so far only managed to spend £30 million to bring in Adam Lallana and Rickie Lambert. It had become clear to the Liverpool owner that the club were behind in their recruitment drive and if they were to be successful in getting most of the 13 other Saints players that Rodgers covets, then a different more aggressive stance is called for that requires Rodgers to be more hands on. Therefore he is going to live near Saints Staplewood training ground for two days each week so that he may easier contact the Saints squad and encourage them to move their heads to Liverpool to join Dejan Lovren's head which is already there with the Anfield club hoping that having got that on a free they can sign the rest of him for £20 million. The minutes secretly linked to this website confirm the following action points. 1. Rodgers to buy a nice detached house near Staplewood, not too big though as despite getting £75 million from the Suarez deal, Liverpool have a sell on clause to pay with the players Dentist. 2. A Billboard to be rented on the Marchwood bypass saying "Liverpool Is Great" in big letters. 3. Various Liverpool supporting celebrities to be used to contact the players, Paul McCartney has already agreed to ring Lovren and offer him Help if he is feeling down, Macca has been counselling Rodgers recently after the Liverpool boss declared that he doesnt care too much for money as money cant buy me Lovren. Also roped in are Cilla Black whose World without Lovren is number 1 in the local charts although isnt doing too well in Southampton. 4. Pack of "Dream Move Cards" to be purchased, these can be shuffled and dealt out randomly, Rickie Lambert has already had the dream move to boyhood club card, Lallana has had the dream move to boyhood bank card and it is intended that Lovren will of course get a dream move to boyhood ambition card, Jay Rodriguez has always admired the Beatles, Morgan Schneiderlin's boyhood ambition has been to live near Blackpool Tower the inspiration behind the inferior version in Paris, Nathan Clyne is a massive Jimmy Tarbuck fan, with Callum Chambers perhaps the least demanding of the Saints players being targeted in that he just wants to meet Atomic Kitten. 5. Rodgers should not just consider last season's squad, already Liverpool have lined up a bit for Dusan Tadic and are expected to offer £10 million for Pelle later in the week. The manager has been told in no uncertain terms that the transfer window doesnt close to the first week in September leaving him plenty of time to lure any new Saints signings away from St Mary's. 6. A secret agent to be planted in to the Saints playing staff, perhaps an ex player or coach who can tell the squad on a daily basis what a great place Merseyside is. Rodgers is expected to complete his house purchase in the next week and get down to his task as soon as Saints return from Belgium. His biggest task though will be to persuade Mauriccio Pochettino to join the Anfield bootroom, however he is hopeful that the Argentinian will be in place prior to Saints visit to Anfield , this plan does rely heavily on the game being moved to the Sunday afternoon and Spurs visit to West Ham being played on the Saturday, If Tottenham are beaten in that game then Pochettino is likely to be sacked that evening and will be free to take up his position in the Anfield dug out the following day and share a handshake with his successor at St Mary's and now the bookies favourite to be the next Spurs boss Ronald Koeman.
