Well done mate you gave him a great life 15 years is a very long innings for a lab.Very sad for your loss though these threads do me up so I’ve stopped reading the replies of other dog lovers these days as l end up in tears and think of my own dogs mortality
Brentford offered 35 mill with 5 add ons he then had a medical but then Spurs came in with an offer of Joe Rodon and 30 mill which Leeds and the player prefered simple as.Is he he’s worth it time will tell and from afar it seemed a lot of money for a club of Brentford’s size to gamble on an 18 year old championship player but by all accounts he’s going to be a top player.I note some on here and other championship clubs fans are not that overly impressed with him when seeing him play.
Finished 13 points clear of relegation despite missing 7 first team starters for most of the season.Yes we were very poor in many game’s especially second half of the season but Toney only scored 4 goals in 17 games and many fans me included thought we were a better side without him in the side. Was very good for England last night though when he came on.
😂😂😂Brentford got more points before Toney returned per game.Won more games without him.Might get relegated any three from about 14 but think points deductions could play a big part in these things next season. If pushed think Ipswich Saints and Leicester will go straight back down. If we keep clear of horrendous injuries like we had last season think we are in for a another mid table bore fest.
Eze was by far the best player on the field dispite coming off early.Hopefully Southgate had seen enough to convince him he’s in the final squad.Obviously not a starter but as the tournament goes on he could be the ace up our sleeve as he was the only player who actually took players on.Think Watkins could still get the nod although not great last night he didn’t get much support and expect Toney will also go even though he finished the season in poor form.
Obviously can see the attraction of employing Frank with his record over 7 years but unless he just wants to top up his bank account he only has to look at Potters short stint there to realise you are jumping into a cesspit of a club.
With the premier league clubs getting more and more money and the championship sides getting deeper in debt think this seasons outcome will become a regular occurrence.I will keep my season ticket but doubt if I do anywhere near as many away games next season I’ve only missed 4 in 3 seasons. If we git relegated I would do them all in the championship.Im what’s called a legacy fan I understand that is the new tag for us been around too long don’t spend enough in the club shop and are a hangover from the past 😃
As you say Brentford would have been in the relegation mix most seasons had the promoted teams been of better quality.Has been the worse season for many years due to an unprecedented long list of long term injuries losing whole back 4 and both wide players for most of the season along with Toney for half the season.Finishing on 39 points ( could get 40 or 42 ) would have kept Brentford up over the last 20 years.Been a very unexciting season in the PL that at times bores the arse off you it’s sooo predictable and it’s most fans dream untill they get there.Give me the championship all day long
Next season the league looks like being the most unpredictable in years for once the relegated teams won’t be as strong as this season apart from maybe Burnley (could still survive hopefully at the expense of Forrest)can’t see any of the teams coming up being the whipping boys.Every clubs fans must be thinking that a top 6 finish is possible.
