His interview on motd last night sealed his fate I guess.I hope he doesn’t go to millwall, but he’s a football manager with a family to support. |

He’s been sacked at Wolves today only a few days after getting the dreaded vote of confidence.Shame really and there didn’t seem to much support from the board over the player sales in the last couple of years. |

He did tell them about moving the ball and then allowed them to get away with it.Opposition players are also allowed in the wall but they’re supposed to be 1m away from the defenders, which he also allowed to happen. It was a great free kick though. |

There’s a sports bar at 174-180 Old st which claims to show football. It doesn’t open until noon and is only a 10-15 walk from Liverpool st. |

There is a James Cooper on the optimistic qpr fb page who has a spare ticket. |

Luckily my train gets in at 12.49 so I should be ok for the 2pm ko still.A bit of a long wait for the train home now though. |

That’s better than my attempt to watch the highlights on my Sky glass, which started at 4.20 instead of the advertised 4.30pm.When I tried to start the programme again it went straight to the millwall game which was supposed to start at 4.15.I waited for our programme to finish before starting the show again and it went to the wba v Coventry game. Don’t bother getting a sky glass tv unless you are prepared to spend the majority of your time in frustration searching for a programme that you wanted to watch. Luckily the advertised game completely missed out the 1st half highlights. |

My day yesterday started with my 142nd blood donation overlooking the pitch at Portman Rd.Then a cheap return train ticket to Liverpool St and then the usual 7 mile walk to the White Horse and a few Guinness to put the iron back in the body. A poor 1st half was followed by both Sam Field goals being scored right in front of us to clinch the 3 points. Even the 9 minutes added time didn’t stop me from getting the 10.37 train home at Stratford. And we even got our ugly mugs on tv at the start of the 2nd half. Lou Reed sang about a perfect day,and that summed it up for me yesterday. Come on u R’ssssssssssssss. |

He caught him in the midriff according to one of their deluded fans on the forum. It must’ve been about the same place that Barton hit grunt holt all those years ago, although Holt’s midriff is a lot larger than Morgan’s. |

You only have to think back to the game where Barton wrongly got sent off to dislike their tactics.Or the game up there when Diop spat at us in the front couple of rows, and that gappy b@rstard Robert’s scored the late winner. And the fact that we rarely seem to beat them.Six fingered c unts. |

That’s what I said Terry. We seem to run out of ideas or stamina in the 2nd half of home games this season,so we should play towards the loft and try and score a couple of goals in the 1st half of games. It certainly worked yesterday, although Norwich weren’t all that great, which helped. |

My brother had a similar story getting back to Bournemouth. He was told to get a train via Reading to Basingstoke and then get a cab all the way to Bournemouth. He ended up in Winchester with no station staff in sight. He asked about a cab and was quoted £150,but he got an Uber for half that cost. He managed to make last orders in his local spoons. |

I mentioned on the home form a couple of weeks ago about us kicking towards the loftin the 1st half rather than our usual 2nd half and hopefully we’d get a goal or two in the 1st 45 minutes. It seemed to work ok yesterday.Maybe we should try it more often? |

When I flew to Auckland from San Francisco for the cricket in 2023 it was during the hurricane/typhoon that hit the North Island the day before, but most flights were being diverted to Sydney,or turning back halfway across the pacific. I think we landed on one wheel as the wind was still so strong. |

Is it definitely 3pm on the 11th?I want to book train tickets, but I can’t until I know for certain as the fee for changing the times is more than the actual fare. |

There used to be a bar on the district line platform at Sloane Sq station back in the late 70’s.I’m not sure when it closed though. It closed in 1985. [Post edited 5 Dec 23:49]
