an absolutely bonfire night of a show....
at 11:13 6 Nov 2024

I agree, he definitely has a great range of first touch and long passing in him, and can clearly finish, but unless he learns to battle and earn the chance to play, it's not going to matter.

He can't disappear for large chunks of the game, or hide when our defence is looking for an out ball.

Look at Boro, their equivalent 10 was picking the ball up from the defence/midfield all game. We didn't do it once.

Whatever we’ve done at half time has absolutely not worked.

Revert!

Hopefully someone’s in the tunnel stamping on Celar’s feet and giving him the occasional punch in the balls

I'm sick so can't make it after a dismal series of home games this season.

That should help us get a result

I was very encouraged by that today, walked away thinking if we can build on that we’ll be fine.

Finally we look solid, we neutralised another dangerous team, you could see patterns of play particularly in the first half where Madsen and Smyth in particular were linking up really well.

Varane was physical and out muscled their midfield, Morgan is a total bonus out of the blue and looks like a player.

Field was good at centre back and I reckon he should stay there.

Random shout out for Santos who must be our fifth choice left back but did well and he’s a beast in the air

We’re a firing centre forward away from an alright team, hopefully it’s Celar. He actually woke up today and the red card seemed to fire him up. When he actually scores there’s going to be a pitch invasion

I’ve suspected this for a while, but we looked a lot better without Field in midfield.

Actually passed forward and found spaces (in the first half anyway)

No shade on Sam, he was excellent at centre back, but for games where we’re trying to attack Field’s complete lack of creativity was made obvious today

This is amazing.

Just listened to the full 40 minutes. Barely still awake. It’s beautiful

Honestly, I reckon if he had normal hair there'd be almost no noise about him at all.

It's good branding (although he does have to walk about like that)

I’ve had a couple of spendy pairs that I lost over the years, and then bought the Sony CF700s on a deal on a cross channel ferry in the summer and I’d say they were the best of the lot.

Really good sound/battery and never fall out

Jacob's Ladder - amazing film that still stays with me.
The Ring - both versions I think are good
Hellraiser 2 - ultimate in old school 80s video nasty
Get Out - one the best ones from recent times
Carrie - ending is just so sad

Next four games

Well if we spend four games defending like today against Burnley, learn how to become a hard to beat team, and build from there that will be time well spent

We’ve been so powderpuff and casual all season, hopefully this reminds us you’ve got to battle before you start the fancy Dan stuff

Fair play, that’s a great 0-0.

Cannot fault the effort at all, Cook and JCS superb. Nobody left anything out there

If only we had some forwards

Alfie Lloyd making his case today surely

To be fair to Smyth and Saito they’re both playing as auxiliary full backs and sticking to their task well

Cook, JCS and Nardi have been immense.

The rest, not so much.

It’s basically like the Ainsworth game again.

I know he’s playing out of position but if we really did sign Ashby instead of Hayden that has to be the stupidest decision of all time
