| News Comment | Saints Sell Out Yet Another Away Allocation at 21:23:24
I agree with Saint Brock we all want to see Leicester win the title, just so the dream of us doing the same is a little bit closer. The home game was exciting and I would love to see us win, but part of me will not be too disappointed f Leicester win or draw and that point(s) means they win the Premier League. |
| News Comment | 2014/15 Player Review Jack Cork at 22:42:42
Our biggest mistake this year letting him go, should have used him more often, and should have offered him a better deal to stay. |

I feel sorry for Pellè he had some lovely touches yesterday early in the game. He needs support perhaps two up font - Mané if he can improve his time keeping or Long if his ribs are not causing him pain. Tadić needs to be on the left wing where he was so effective early in the season. Having Betrand back will improve our attack. Matt Target has done well, unfortunate with their second goal. Don't despair - onwards and upwards, we now need to get back dispatching all the teams outside the big six starting with West Brom and Crystal Palace, six points will put us back. |

I will not accept that Chelski will win the league by 10 points. They are 4 points ahead of us, but have to play us twice. Win at St Marys + draw at The Bridge or vice-versa and we have them on goal difference! What it is to dream? |
| News Comment | Luke Shaw Departure ! Why It Is Good For Saints ! at 13:14:14
Left backs don't win games: - 'brady100' perhaps you didn't ever see Garath Bale paying for Saints? £30m is good business only as long as we spend the money wisely. Our transfer transactions have been decidedly inconsistant lately. Alan Pardew was very good at getting value for money, I don't believe in the transfer committee. Koeman needs to hit the job running, why not get hold of some Dutch talent they seem to be able to cope with the World Cup ok! |
| News Comment | Pochettino Resigns at 20:07:01
I don't want to diss Poch just because he has gone, but Nigel had already turned things around before he came (maybe thanks to Corky recovering from injury). Nigel did not have a plan 'B' and nether did Poch. Having said that undoubtedly a talented young manager, as to how he will do at Tottingham who knows, remember Glen Hoddle. I would have had Hoddle back, not so sure about Poch. We are bigger than any one man, keep the faith lets move forward. My own personal choice is Tim Sherwood, very hard done by and did quite well at Spurs. An up and coming English manager. And why aren't we buying Tom Ince? Long live Katharina! |
| News Comment | Poch Says Don't Fear Future at 18:41:13
No one is bigger than Southampton F.C. I have been impressed by Katharina, she wasn't going to accept Cortese spending her money with little or no fiscal responsibility to her and who can blame her. So he went off in a huff. I always stand by the manager, Man U treatment of David Moyes is disgraceful as is Alex Fergusons part in that. To select a manager put him on a six year contract then drop him in less than a season is stupid beyond belief. Ferguson was given the time as we all know. This is a very good reason to stuff them tomorrow. If Poch goes it's not the end of the world. I would have Sherwood as a replacement. |
| News Comment | More Saints Games Live On TV at 13:42:20
Bad news, our record with TV games is terrible in the last four seasons (two promotions) we have only won 7 out of 27 live TV matches. With BT this season P3 D1 L2. We might have stood half a chance if they were on Sky! |
| News Comment | Saints V Stoke City The Verdict at 13:18:48
I am concerned about Jay Rodriguez, yes a fantastic goal against Fulham, but his play in the last 3/4 matches has been very disappointing, where are those magnificent runs he used to make? Apart from the Fulham goal his control and shooting have been weak. Rickie's 'trade mark free kick'. He is taken too much for granted and never gets the full credit he deserves. To score from that angle and so precise as to go in off the post was magnificent. We desperately need a plan 'B'. Why didn't we snap up young Ince from Blackpool just the sort of player we need rather than these over expensive foreign imports. As for giving Wanyama a few minutes, are you out of your mind?! |
