If Man Utd stump up the £21m and get Dibling's left foot, do you think he will still get a game for Saints if we keep the rest of him |
| Forum Thread | Sit In Protest On Wednesday at 10:13 13 Dec 2024
Lets really show Sport Republic that we mean business, at 7.45 pm on Wednesday for the Liverpool all Saints supporters who really care about the club, should assemble in front of their own TV's to protest about our owners. Sport Republic when faced with such passion will surely realise that we are a fanbase to be reckoned with. In other news tumbleweed is expected to be blowing past the Ted Bates statue on Wednesday evening |

How about doing what the hated Scousers do, go to the games and support your team, but have a big protest march to the ground and make a protest during the game. This is the type of apathy we have at Southampton these days, lets protest with a sit in, meet in your own lounge in front of the telly at 7.45pm on Wednesday evening, that will really show Sport Republic our feelings

What stand is there to be made in the cup game ? Yes it is £5 dearer than Brighton charged in the previous round when they hosted Liverpool but it is still cheaper than most clubs. Yes the team has been poor this season, but this is a shot at glory, people are moaning about his season, but here is a real chance of reaching a semi final and people are boasting about giving it a miss all over social media as if it is a badge of honour. If people want to make a stand, then why not stand by the Ted Bates Statue before the game and during it with the Sport Republic OUT &Sack Russell martin banners, now that would be a stand. |

Read deeper and Martin also said that he is tied to a current deal with an option and the club are trying to reward him with a pay rise and it is the agent who is stalling . Including the option Dibling is tied to us until 2028 |

Big suppliers to Saints from 1980 till about 87, they have made a comeback in the last few years, but seems they have now gone into liquidation |

To take your points in order. 1. At the moment the manager is adamant in applying a tactical system that his team are not capable of playing, something has to change, either the manager adapts his tactics which he has shown he is not willing to do or the manager has to change, a new manager would hopefully adapt his tactics to suit the players in the squad, there fore our chances of staying up would increase, given that if we continue as we have done in the first 15 games of the season are chances of staying up are nil, then they could not reduce. 2. Yes you are right if we do go down then Russell Martin would be a good choice in the Championship, but should he get us promoted then we would be back to square one again unless we sack him before our return to the premier league, therefore perhaps better to find a manager who can give us a chance of staying up this season and who can adapt to the Premier league. 3.Stick with this manager and we will just repeat the last two years and upon our promotion back to the Premier League in 2026 the fan base will desert. 4. Whatever button we will press it is not the panic one, that one passed about 8 games ago, the teams around us are adapting their team and tactics and are picking up points and we aren't. |

A respected source has told me that Martin will be getting his just rewards sometime this afternoon, on behalf of the rest of Spandau Ballet, Martin Kemp will pick up an award for the best Spandau Ballet album of all time. My source say that their 1983 Album True just pipped 1984 release Parade in a poll, although on a personal note I preferred Journeys To Glory although I suspect that I won't be going on one with another Martin in the near future |

The culprit owned up to me, the Fans Forum guy is an Ipswich fan and he was doing something on the site and saw the poll, so thought he would vote |

There are plenty of new stories up on the home page, if you are not seeing many posts on the thread you may have accidentally clicked off the Al posts board page and onto the other message boards, ie non football or football only.

If we take the latest Russell Martin poll around 2,000 people have viewed it, yet only around 100 cared enough to vote, it baffles me why someone would open a thread read a poll and then not bother with just one simple click to vote. |

Well Ralph was appointed by a different owner and had proved that he could keep us out of relegation trouble for the first 3 1/2 seasons. There is a lot of flak towards the owners, but they have spent money, the issues lie in who has been employed by them to run the club, some of it their fault and some of it not ie the recruitment guy and the CEO from Manchester City who all left for bigger clubs early on |
| Forum Reply | Ruben Selles at 20:41 5 Dec 2024
Selles was being groomed as a future manager, but he wasn,t ready for the Premier League when he was appointed, had we kept Ralph and Selles had completed his apprenticeship then he could well now be manager at St Mary's |
