| Forum Thread | Norwich Away - Trains at 11:20 13 Dec 2024
Morning all - was thinking of popping up to Norwich for the game via trains from Stratford. I am a bit apprehensive given the time of year and how unreliable they are at the best of times. Anyone got any advice as to viability of using them; they seem to be running okay according to Trainline....for now. |

Any prospect of an interview with Nourry? Ever since his first interview we have not heard from him much bar that copy posted last week. I think that would arguably be more interesting than an interview with MC on wider club matters. |

Very good piece - as ever. It seems curious to me that assuming we do not have loads of money to chuck around that we have gone for this profile of centre midfielder. In my eyes what we lack more from centre midfield is a 'modern 8 type' - i.e. someone who is a bit more box to box, can link the play with our attacking players and contribute a few goals. Varane seems to be a similar player and upgrade to Field, but I would say we are more desperate for someone who is more forward thinking to compliment Field. |
| Forum Reply | Armstrong extended at 11:11 12 Jun 2024
The way I read it, we have tried (and failed) to secure him to a longer term deal and have triggered the extension with the view to selling him this summer. If we cannot tie him down to a longer deal, surely we have to sell now to recoup something? |

Absolutely right to mention his street smarts - something we have been hopelessly bereft of for years. One thing that sticks in my mind about Colback is the amount of times he won smart (cheap) free kicks for us in our own half when we under pressure that allowed us to reset, get up the pitch etc. Definitely made a huge difference and is the kind of nous we have lacked in recent years |

Not strictly related to this thread, but I actually bumped into the man himself this week in a bar in Canary Wharf (he was having water I hasten to add). Was an absolute gent, and when I told him I was a QPR fan his eyes absolutely lit up. Even went as far as calling me an OG when I told him I was there his debut in the cup many years ago! |
| Forum Thread | Bristol Pub at 13:47 16 Feb 2024
Afternoon everyone - Know the official pub is the cricket club by the ground, but anyone else know of any good places friendly to away fans pre game, preferably one convenient from the station? Cheers |

I think this point here really highlights what has really been the biggest problem at the club over the last 5 years or so for me. Bar Eze, we have been simply unable to extract fees anywhere near commensurate to the value of our players. BOS, Manning, Dieng, Freeman, were all - at times - among the best players in the division in the their position. For most of them contract related reasons ultimately underpinned the low fees, but had we been able to have obtained larger fees for a few of them which could have been reinvested who knows what would have happened. With Sinclair's contract expiring 2025 it seems, I am worried we are sleepwalking into another such situation and lose him for a shade of what he is worth. |

I believe Nathan Gilchrist is one of them. Is now 19 and started all 4 of Chelsea's U23 games so far this season. Might be one we rue in coming years. |
| Forum Thread | Norwegian R’s, please help! at 20:02 25 Apr 2023
Afternoon all- I am in Oslo this weekend and would love to watch the game with some R’s. I have tried looking at QPR Norway’s social media and cannot find any information of where/ if they do meet-ups for games. Can anyone help me? |
| Forum Thread | Player Conduct at 00:09 10 Apr 2023
I have read multiple times in Clive’s fantastic match reports and seen some murmurings on twitter about player conduct after defeats: being out on the town, badmouthing other players/ managers, and generally displaying complete apathy to the disgrace which is unfolding in front of us, etc. But I have not actually seen any stories or much less names of individuals involved (even though I have my own suspicions). Anyone have any information (even of tenuous validity) to share? |

Has always infuriated me that we rarely post highlights of our U21/ B team games. Is a great way to get fans engaged in the progress of our young players and to know a bit more about them. They obviously have the recordings so must be a conscious effort not to. Strange. |
| Forum Reply | Swans stalemate brings up another unwanted set of six for QPR - Report at 15:33 23 Jan 2023
In fairness to NC, JCS and Johansen were stripped and ready to come on just before they scored, which would've presumably seen us go to a back 5 as many have clamoured for. Saying that, was plain to see the way the game was going and it should have come 5-10 mins earlier. |

In 2019 myself and a friend happened to be in Montevideo, Uruguay and were planning on attending Penarol v Defensor that weekend, as Penarol are the biggest team over there and are known for an atmosphere. By chance one evening we were walking round the city and stumbled across Defensor's stadium, not realising they were also Montevideo based. Outside we met a couple of friendly lads having a classic Uruguayan bbq who invited us to join them at the game in a few days. Ended up getting on club organised coaches with a police escort directly into the away end. Game was very feisty, and I was constantly looking over my shoulder as Penarol fans were trying to climb over the barbed wire fences to get at the away end. Cracking stadium and experience. |
| Forum Thread | Reading Travel at 13:29 5 Jan 2023
Afternoon all. I am heading to Reading next week and usually drive but can't on this occasion. I noticed the train station is a long way from the ground, does anyone know if there is a bus or something that runs between them, or is it just a bundle into a taxi job? TIA |

Wonderful information, cheers Clive. Think we will plan for the 23.10 but I have very little hope on that one, so it may have to be Adderley Park. |
| Forum Reply | Who's staying over in Brum? at 10:21 28 Oct 2022
I have booked myself onto the 22.13 (might be rather tight) I also have a ticket for the 23.10 (if its runs). Hopefully the later train runs so can have longer at the pub celebrating another triumph |
