No Palmer start - Trippier does though…. It’s up as a 3-4-2-1 formation on flash score although that often changes when the game starts. PIckford / Walker, Stones, Konsa / Trippier, Mainoo, Rice, Saka / Bellingham, Foden / Kane is the starting XI We will see…. England 6/5, Swiss 3/1 Toblerone is in the bin 😀 |

As a PL Club a women’s section is a tick box requirement these days that does attract some funding which is improving significantly season on season. It’s not all outgoings, for example, the women put over £100,000 into the Club coffers by winning just two WFA Cup games last season. The reason they currently don’t have a manager is because Marriane Spacey-Cale has moved up from 1st team manager to general manager to oversee women’s and girls strategy and provision for the Club as a whole. The reason some of the players are leaving is because WSL Clubs are picking them off in much the same way as the Lavia’s and Liveremento’s were picked off by PL clubs last season. The women’s team/s are here to stay, like it or lump it, they are part of SFC. I have no issue with people who are not interested, it’s not for everyone. I agree with the considerable groundswell of opinion that the women’s team should have a separate forum - or extend the current one and have an extra section devoted to the women but not making the main forum any shorter. That plonker in the pink replica GK shirt that was prattling on at the last forum was a waste of precious time so, yes, separate them by all means. In MSC we are fortunate to have one of the most respected women in the game, with her expertise on board it could save the Club money long term and I have a suspicion SR are setting up that side of the Club in their image, business model wise, if that’s the case, with MSC on board the women’s side of the Club could well end up earning the club money rather than being a drain on its finances. |

And it’s the same where I am in Spelthorne (Staines area, Surrey side of Heathrow Airport) - can you believe our MP was that prat Kamakwazi Kwartang, Truss’s moron of a Chancellor for 38 days whose actions increased by daughter’s mortgage in Staines from £1,800 a month to £3,100 a month and the locals STILL put another one back in yesterday! If we were a few miles up the road, say in Weybridge, Windsor or Wentworth then OK but really surprised Spelthorne stayed blue… Hey ho, it could have been Rupert Lowe I suppose 🙄 |

Not surprised there were three recounts if there were only 18 votes in it. What would they have done if was a draw? Perhaps a penalty shoot out with the Lib Dem candidate in goal? Watching it unfold last night on the BBC the word ‘bloodbath’ was used quite a few times to describe how things were going for the Tory parry. Given that perhaps an aspiring local paper’s headline writer could offer up ‘Poole of blood’ as a headline. On a more serious note, Pat - what’s the post like in and around the Poole constituency? On Wednesday Jeremy Vine was highlighting the problem with postal vote ballot papers that hadn’t arrived in a certain area, almost immediately people were phoning, texting & x’ing in from all parts of the UK saying they too hadn’t received their ballot papers through the post. Just wondering how long it will be before someone somewhere tries to make something out of this in a constituency with a really closely called result. |

Keep your eye on the result from the Great Yarmouth Constituency - a certain Mr. Rupert Lowe is standing as the Reform candidate, and yes, I have checked, it is the same RL that was once the Chairman of SFC 😮 |

Remember the ‘Free Nathan Tella’ poster campaign last summer masterminded by the Burnley Chairman’s daughter? Perhaps we should pop up there with a few posters that read ‘Free Charlie Taylor - cheers Burnley, thanks very much’ 😀 That will please the Chairman’s daughter 🙃 [Post edited 29 Jun 19:08]

That just about sums it up - England players get paid about £2,000 per game but since the setting up of the EFF (England Football Foundation) in 2007 they all donate their appearance fees to the aforementioned charity. From memory, the issue of who pays the Club wages whilst players are on International duty is buried deep in the 743 pages of the FA’s Association Rules - it’s a long time since I have needed to refer to them! I know that an agreement signed between the ECA (European Clubs Association), UEFA & FIFA makes the National Associations obligated to fully compensate Clubs for players injured whilst on International Duty but for the duration of International call- ups I think you are correct, the Clubs are still paying the players wages. |

As a fellow dyslexic, my sister supports the Society’s fundraising initiatives although she ended up going to their recent toga party dressed as a goat - that was after taking her kids to see Satan last Christmas… |

If Rooney is not careful and really upsets the Plymouth locals he won’t be getting bailed by the local constabulary but more likely baled by angry local farmers with access to a hay baler 😀⚽️ |

We did the same thing last season when we played Benfica pre-season but nothing was kept secret on that occasion as they made the game available free on the SFC website. That said, when that game was played last season we had nothing to keep secret as nobody knew who would be there six weeks later - from memory Livramento looked particularly good that day… |

Having won Group C, England will play Slovakia in the last 16. If they win they will play either Switzerland or Italy in the quarter-finals, with the Netherlands, Romania, Austria and Turkey also on our side of the draw. Germany, Spain & France all on the other side of the fence. Can we emerge from our group stage torpor? What do you think?? |

Plenty of people have been having kittens after watching England so far - perhaps Southgate could be sent home to be at some of the births… |
