Help identifying a famous football painting
at 20:55 21 Mar 2024

I'm trying to find a copy of a famous football painting. Mr Google can't help. It's a crowd scene of one away supporter wearing the wrong colours in the home stand and shouting, and ALL the other supporters staring angrily at him. It's kind of cartoon-ish, and possibly from the 1930s. Most people on here would probably recognise it if they saw it, but I'm damned if I can find it. Any ideas?
(It's definitely not a Lowry)

Dear England
at 22:23 25 Dec 2023

Went to see this on Friday. Great Christmas outing if you like theatre and football. It follows Gareth Southgate's time as England manager. Headline prices are not cheap, but there are reductions on the day through ticketing websites. We paid £30 for good seats in the dress circle for the matinee.
The Harry Kane character alone is worth the entrance money.

Electric bikes (non QPR)

Anybody got one? Any recommendations?
(I'm on tour in France, and every second bike that overtakes me seems to be electrically assisted. Maybe it's time to accept the inevitable and buy one.)

Trying to buy tickets on the website
at 23:11 15 Aug 2022

It's just not possible, is it?

Have not renewed my ST in Upper Loft, for reasons previously explained (ie can't see the action at the other end of the pitch because of the too-bright LED perimeter advertising hoardings).

Therefore trying to buy two seats for Rotherham in SAR on the website. But after I prove I'm not a robot, and clicking on one seat, it won't let me click on another one. It just won't. And the two minute countdown logs me out, over and over again.

So it's 25 minutes on the phone, listening to Ilias and Uncle over and over again, until I get to speak to the always always excellent Connor, who sorts me out. But Connor can't explain why I couldn't buy two together on the website, and he thought the countdown period was 30 minutes, not 2 minutes.

As Clive has previously ranted, we are trying to support our team, and we are TRYING TO GIVE YOU OUR MONEY!!!

AFCON final on BBC3 at 7pm

With Seny on the bench.

(Stupidly, I've only just realised I can get BBC3 on my TV - I had to retune it, which seems to happen quite often with Freeview.)

Anyway, maybe Mendy will knock himself out on the post and Seny will come on and be the hero for Senegal.

And they opened the gates to relieve the crush and let fans in -now, where did we hear that one before?
