Time to switch things up a little bit I think. Would like to see Johansen come in for Tim who needs some time out of the firing line, and JCS (if he fancies it).

Dieng

Laird (if fit)
JCS
Dickie
Paal

Johansen
Field

Roberts
Chair
Lowe

Dykes

Won on our last two visits there, doing so again shouldn't be beyond our capabilities but we are so out of the winning habit.

What the hell is going on at Boro? 3-0 down at home to Cardiff at half-time. Wilder on borrowed time potentially?

Come on then, let's have some XIs and predictions.

Dieng
Kakay Dickie JCS Paal
Johansen Field Dozzell
Thomas Chair
Dykes

Subs: Walsh, Dunne, Amos, Adomah, Roberts, Willock, Bonne

Rather Amos and Willock started over Dozzell and Thomas but unlikely due to injuries.

1-1 draw, Chair to score.

5 at the back
at 23:12 19 Nov 2021

First off: great to get the win in the circumstances with injuries and only one striker available, hopefully beginning to break away from that cluster of midtable teams below us.

BUT nearly 20 games in now playing this formation, at home to a team who are decent but nothing special and still just not really able to control the game. Still really easy to bypass us in midfield and still looking vulnerable in the channels between centre backs and wing backs.

Looked so much more solid with an extra body in midfield when Field came on, which was when we shored things up and the game management got a lot better. I wonder if we'll experiment with a 4321 going forward (may be enforced by Dickie's ban for Huddersfield if I'm not mistaken)?

Really we only managed to keep a clean sheet because of Luton's dreadful finishing and doesn't feel like we're that much closer to the fabled 90min performance?

"Cheer up" etc!

£19 STHs, £25 if not. Couldn't really have charged any more, don't think it'll be anywhere near a sell out with those prices sadly.

W12 pubs with BT Sport?
at 15:07 26 Aug 2021

Taking a Gooner to the game on Saturday and he wants to watch Arsenal City beforehand, upsetting as that may end up being for him. Which pubs in vicinity of the ground are likely to have it on? Assume Coningham will but just tried to ring and couldn’t get through. Any others people know of? Ta

Season tickets selling well

4,000 sold already, more by this stage than when we were in the Premier League! Anyone know how many we had last year? Would've guessed in the 7-8,000 range...

Conor Washington on the scoresheet, but as if that's not enough so is none other than Sean Goss. Blimey.

Better contract news...?

C'mon Ilias, lad - the club aren't gonna stand in your way if a big-money offer comes in...

Club also confident of Sinclair Armstrong (yep that lad none of us had ever heard of but are now desperate not to lose) signing a new deal too.

Interest our side for a loan deal (per Sean Gallagher)

Dirty bastard by the looks of it but good Championship pedigree, 55 Norway caps. Left out of Fulham's PL squad so seems like it could make sense for all parties on the face of it...

The man to sort out our entire defence once and for all! Oxford fans demanding £4m/5m in the replies and claiming he wouldn't be arsed about a move to us.

Hall offski?

Interesting one. Didn't realise he was a big earner, not sure how high he has his heights set but can't imagine him being a starter for anyone much better than us.

Not good news short term for the rest of the season if he's got his eye on not getting injured. How confident would we be of Masterson stepping up to fill his shoes?

About five times more needle against Luton earlier in the season
at 21:52 28 Oct 2019

No one can tell me this is a proper rivalry. They've done us every time since they came up and I still can't get worked up about losing to a League 2 club disguised as Championship play-off hopefuls.

To keep things in perspective, as poor as we've been against Reading and tonight that's two piss poor penalty decisions that could've resulted in 4 more points on the board.

Brentford have been playing this style for years, we've been doing it six months and on another day we would've got something. Plus they've spent £20m this Summer.

Just back (2.5 hours ago)
at 20:06 21 Sep 2019

East London born, W12 raised, now SE local - caught the train to South Bermondsey from Peckham, very much expecting our winning run to come to an end today.

They looked to have dragged us down to their level today first 15 minutes or so but we seemed to settle, not too much noise from their supposedly vociferous home crowd. Could tell we had that extra bit of quality but was never 100% sure we would make it count.

Glad to get in at half time 0-0 with something to build on, they should have troubled us way more considering they were the home team. A classic lump it up with no angle on it to Big Posh Matt job from them, very tidy finish from Nahki to make it 1-0, was never convinced we'd see out the clean sheet.

Their fans started getting up for it as soon as they made it 1-1 and would have made them favourites to go on to win it from that point but felt very good to be on the right end of a keeper cock up for once.

Saw it out pretty comfortably once we made it 2-1, snuck out of the away escort back to the South Bermondsey and a straightforward walk home with 3 points in the back pocket.

Not a vintage performance but great to see us stand up for ourseves at the archetypal Tough Place To Go.

Three away wins before October, can't argue with that. COYRs, Leistner MOTM
