That has been debunked many times. At best he may have overdubbed a few parts on stuff they recorded in Hamburg that were later released in the US after they hit the big time i.e. with Pete Best and pre-Ringo.

Ringo played on all their sessions from 62-70. Mark Lewisohn's excellent 'The Complete Beatles Recording Sessions' details that.

Now it seems I've learnt something. Turns out it wasn't Jasper Carrott who originated the joke although he may later have stolen it. Apparently it was from an episode of Radio 4's 'Radio Active' series in 1981.

Plymouth didn't do so brilliantly last time they went down to ten at Cardiff two weeks ago. They were 2-0 down and ended up losing 5-0. I've no data to back it up but I think it makes a difference if the side that has 11 is leading at the time.
