Dibling, Fernandes, Walker Peters and Ramsdale are prem quality the rest are not . |

I was browsing the cherries forum yesterday just to get a feel for how they’re all feeling. Most of them were dreading losing all their best players and manager very soon .
Let’s face it as I’ve said many times, there’s only 6 clubs that win anything major in this country so any teams top talent will eventually move to clubs that do win things. |

Dirk ,We all support our football clubs in different ways, none of it is right or wrong. We all get peed off with different things. Like many I do go home and away, some do more aways than me because I have other things I need to do too but football is and always has been a large part of what I do .
i like many others, are so fed up with how football has become in this country. I can’t remember the last time I watched MOTD, I don’t want to hear about the rich top 6 clubs ,I don’t want to watch a repeat of us getting stuffed every week with pundits saying how poor we are so I don’t bother.
Like some have said it’s becoming a lot more about the social side , meeting your mates, having a few beers, getting up early on a Saturday and getting trains to places like Hull, Sheffield etc and Winning !! Heaven forbid lol , sometimes staying overnight, it’s part of the buzz.
I respect your in depth knowledge of the game and I enjoy reading your posts Dirk.

I,ve had a look
in the last 20 years in the premier league and FA Cup, Wigan ,Skates and Leicester are the only clubs other than the big 6 that have won anything so 36 trophies have been won by the same 6/7 big clubs in England. Loads of surprises there.
Tremendous cant wait for the next 20 years. Dull as fcuking dishwater.   |

Not sure if that’s a dig at me Dirk, I just said there will be more yo yo clubs due to the gap getting bigger and it clearly is what’s that got to do with defeatism and giving up ? I also said I enjoyed the championship and it made a bloody nice change tbh what’s wrong with that ? . Like you I’ve been watching saints for years if I was a defeatist I would have tossed my season ticket away years ago 🤣
If you want to go along and see city, United, Liverpool etc pick up yet more trophies year in year out you carry on pal . You can stuff the premier league and everything that goes with it. Until we get owners that want to take us somewhere I don’t see the point of being in it.
The fact is 6/7 clubs in this country win major trophies so not sure about these surprises you go on about . No one remembers 7 th or 8 th place finishers or fa cup semi final losers . |

I really enjoyed travelling away and seeing saints win a lot in the championship . You can’t beat that winning feeling it picks you up and makes you feel good. This season has been a disaster and I won’t miss getting dicked every week.
It’s like the Premier league has become too big for us but this is all down to the owners we’ve had over the years, none of them appear to want to take the club anywhere, we just seem to exist . In the premier league there are Smaller clubs than us showing us how it should be done with good ambitious owners . [Post edited 23 Jan 23:32]

He played in the first game I saw live too. I was living in Ipswich at the time and Law, Best and Charlton played for Man U against Ipswich sept 1970 . Despite my dad being a massive Saints fan he took my brother and I along to Portman Road. I was 9 .
Ipswich won 4-0 against all the odds.
My first saints game was Derby at the Dell 1971 and was hooked on saints from then on .

Yes crying out for one and have been for years. One of the main reasons imo we will be relegated tbh .
It just doesn’t make any sense although I think this guy is decent. I can only assume they prefer paying less for a few goalscoring midfielders than a more expensive out and out striker because really good ones are out of our price range and they wouldn’t want to come here now anyway. With this guy plus Dibling and Fernandes they see goals I guess. |

Err mate I think most of us have the intelligence to realise we are Shyte with very average players but there’s not a lot we can do to change it is there. ? There are a couple of new guys coming in one in charge of recruitment, let’s see what they can do .
We desperately need 3/4 new signings before the end of January but I doubt if financial fair play will allow it. Let’s hope we can send some out on loan and get some new loans in . Forget the next few games apart from Ipswich, we’ll get nothing from the others.

Sulemana and most attacking players eg Alcaraz would have been bored shitless of Martins tippy tappy crap and who can blame them.
Sulemana has obviously been told to do what he wants now and I think we’ll see a few more exciting displays from him. It’s just a shame we don’t have a centre forward who can bang his crosses in . |
