Now that the jubilee celebrations have quietened down a bit I have been reflecting on the whole occasion and have come to the following conclusion. I dont think the Queen really likes us or gives a toss about any off us commoners. The only time you see her smiling is when there is a horse in view, preferbly on a race course when she is surrounded by like minded people or when she is staring up the arse of one on horse guards parade.
She belts out the annual Christmas message and that is about the only time she addresses us directly. I feel that we get a bit of revenge when we make her sit through the Royal Variety perfermance every year.

We had a referendum here as you probably know, I must be one of the few who voted for it. Because it is inevitable.In Britain's case, I think the monarchy is just lovely. The Queen, does she love her subjects? Well those that have met her say she is very well informed, and does show an interest. |  |

Take away the Queen and the Royal family and you take away so much history, our only appeal to tourists is the royal family and the history of this country, to give it up would be a terrible mistake imo. They do a lot of good for this country and the commenwealth. |  | | |
