FA Cup tomorrow 22:03 - Jan 11 with 901 viewskingslandstand1

So if we do lose tomorrow, who will be more embarrassed, us or Brentford?

Let's face it, Brentford are flying at home, just had a 5-0 away win (sorry) and playing well with plaudits, and just lost at home to the team bottom of the Championship.

We're cr@p and struggling and all that goes with that and about to be deemed the worst ever Premiership team, playing a team doing ok (?) with nothing to lose against a team extremely low on confidence nd it would surely be no real surprise if they produce a "shock"

I note also the stats etc - a bit like ours under RM!!

Well,let's see .................

Just because a team beats us 5-0 doesn't mean they're any good. Sunderland and Leicester beat us 5-0 last season and Brentford's win at St Mary's was their only win in their last 7 games.

I don't think anyone will be surprised if we lose - it won't be a cup shock - perhaps only the margin of a defeat could show us up. Whereas Brentford and Frank are regarded more highly than us.

Can’t blame Russell Martin if we get knocked out.

If you look at our squad the only position that’s been improved since last season is the Goalkeeper.

How the hell were we supposed to do any good in The Premier League with Championship players?

We thought that we had the answers, It was the questions we had wrong.

Well, I thought the idea was that in order to be promoted in the first place you had to be of premiership standard. Those players have a chance to cut it at the top level but they are slowed down by the weight of their pay packets once they get there.

Definitely this, Martin has been gone over a month now. No more possession based football causing needlesss mistakes at the back. I think Juric will put a strong team out in the hope of registering a win. But at the end of the day we lack premier league quality in pretty much every area. Can’t make a silk purse… but I think we’ll have enough to win 2-0 .

That's the problem with the play-offs: a couple of exceptional performances can see an average Championship side promoted.

The 2 automatically promoted teams, who themselves weren't particularly good ones, both finished miles clear of us, and did the double over us, with the top one beating us 9-1 on aggregate. We all knew that we'd probably come straight back down again, but we didn't realize just how badly we would fall. I guess the heavy defeats we suffered last season should have warned us. A team good enough for the Premier League doesn't lose games 5-0 to other Championship sides.

So do I assume from below that Brentford should be more embarrassed than us as that would be more of a shock than us losing?
I'm not blaming RM now, I think we've well established it's that the players are not of Prem quality. What I was saying was that Brentford's stats were as we used to be under RM with higher possession and everything else and lost the game! So the benefit of possession football is what?
