The reason was the ball went into Swansea s net more than it did the oppositions net in general over the period of their ownership. Furthermore it followed a period of unprecedented success over about 14 years. Fans look for other reasons but this was the main one.

This , it seems last years POTY had backed the wrong horse. poor judgement over several years is a bit embarrassing if I may say.

He’s not stupid. He just gets a kick out of of arguing. He knows what a disaster Levein and Kaplan have been. Had they been superb owners, popular with the fans and moved the club forward, he’d have found ways to argue against them.

They have not been a disaster but generally we're unsuccessful. The club is in it pre Jenkins optimal position. Mid table in the Championship. It was the miss steps by the Welsh administration which took Swansea down. They delegated for too long. A succession of managers knowing they had too work to a restricted budget who deflected blame for their failure at their door. The "If only" managers. "If only I had Ryan Woods." Potter Who? "If only I had Keinan Davis" Cooper who let Gyorkeres end his deal "If only I got help up top" Martin who fell out with the three forwards. All January. "It's the bloody Yanks to blame. I'm off to Brighton Forest and Southampton" My neighbours son is pretty useless unless playing darts in the pub. It was never his fault. His bosses never understood him".

Good PR for sure. Birch is still remembers and a brilliant administrator. Buying a round always helps.

Mr Birch is very well respected in the football industry. re: Cooper and Gyokeres posts - they are very well off the mark. It is unfair to Steve and others that the same false story is being posted. Please do your research or speak to people close to the loan move in 2021.

They have been a disaster and it’s going to take us a long time to get back to the position we were in when they took over, if we ever manage it. Unsuccessful isn’t an incorrect description, but it’s a massive understatement. Pre-Jenkins position is irrelevant. Everything that Jenkins and co built was in situ when they arrived.

the appointment of Bob Bradley in 2016 was the alarm bell - so early on for the early ownership. I am amazed Jenkins and co (those left on the board) did not attempt to stop it. * I expect / been told that Bob is a really good man - he should never have been put in the position in the first place. Bob not to blame - the people who put him there are.

Nepotism at its finest. Imagine sacking Guidolin for that. And yes, Jenkins was chairman at the time and could/should have been stronger.

I wonder if he could turn the clock back he would go in a different direction, I've no doubt that he loves the club, replace love with fond of. Its still strong in my mind that Jack to a King was the prelude to the sale a massive advertisement in all its fantastical glory, it was a master stroke.

Birch was a good admin guy. But like so many he saw the club for what it was under the Americans and improved his earning power and respect when he left. It happens to many managers, coaches, players who have been at Swansea, far far more than Cardiff as an example. To be honest I don’t know how they put up with all the success the Swans had for years. It must have destroyed them as fans. That’s why they celebrated last seasons home win against the Swans so much. It was their cup final.

Clement was a disaster Bradley was not. Bradley had a lot of experience and while his accent grated no one knows how things would have panned out with Llorente and Sigurdsen on form. It was Clement that approved Clucas, Bony, and unforgivably Sanches. A £35m calamity. A phone call to his mates would have told him he was a "damaged" footballer.

We were a Premier League team, Bradley was never a Premier League standard manager. He was way out of his depth and only employed because of his nationality. As I have said to you before, name one team he has manged since, from a top league. You can't, he was rubbish and should never have been employed.

Brad Bobbly as he was known on Sky Sports, they used to have a running sketch on him every weekend he was a joke, and certainly a disaster.
