Neil Harris on his way out at Millwall on 13:03 - Dec 10 with 3438 views | Northernr | One defeat from ten, currently 11th in the league. He wasn't wrong what he said at the weekend either - they're missing their three best players, they've lost 1-0 to Coventry, it's their first defeat in ten games. I'm no Neil Harris fan but come on lads.

Our season preview prediction of Mickey Beale, Peaky Blinders hat, hamming up the accent and talking about "a proper sort out" at half time, might be about to come to life.

Preferably somebody of colour, who requires a translator and wears a snood, even in summer. If he were also LGBT+ it would be Netflix fly-on-the-wall documentary of the year.

Much as it would be hilarious, surely Steve Gallen has been round the block too many times to fall for Mick's powerpoint and his schtick?

On the other hand, maybe he called the fans thickos because he was already on the way out. Either way, he had a very ordinary team punching above their weight so all good for us. Sounds a bit like Harris wasn't that comfortable with being a 'Head Coach' while Gallen runs the recruitment. So Beale wouldn't be getting his own way for sure.

If the footballing gods had a sense of humour...
Neil Harris on his way out at Millwall on 13:57 - Dec 10 with 2903 views | Watford_Ranger | Very odd. They were playing decent football, winning regularly and defensively very sound five minutes ago. Missing Tanganga (arguably the division’s POTY), Cooper and Esse (meant to be different class and the Olise replacement at Palace).

Would also give him the chance to work again in London for the first time in about ten years...

Neil Harris on his way out at Millwall on 14:35 - Dec 10 with 2644 views | nix | Seems odd given he took over when they were a point above the drop zone and finished in 13th comfortably mid table. Surprising they're not waiting until the end of the season. Wondering if they'll be the recipient of this year's annual Championship Birmingham City memorial trophy for shooting yourselves in the foot. Oh dear, never mind.

As ridiculous as an element of their support is in 2024 I like them more than most. Punch above their weight, no pun intended, ‘proper’ club where you still feel like you’re going to a football match rather than a concert as you near the ground.

Same actually. Although I like to joke , I find the caricature of them quite inaccurate in my experience with individuals. They are up there with us and Palace in the amount of community work they do too. That said, they can take a relegations slot from us anytime.

Neil Harris on his way out at Millwall on 15:24 - Dec 10 with 2276 views | StrawberryHillR | "“You miss Romain [Esse], you miss Japhet [Tanganga] and you miss Jake Cooper. Three players that probably get in anybody’s Championship team. “So just a reminder to people, the thickos, that when you take the three best players out of the team that this is Millwall Football Club.” Maybe the 'thickos' comment wasn't aimed at the fans...

I recall clambering on a tube after a home fixture and being surrounded by about 30 men who all looked and somehow even smelt like Grant Mitchell. Who maybe when older would start to look like Greg Wallace, perhaps with similar views. One of them lent into me and I was already anticipating the dental work when he smiled and said "your lot played quite well tonight." I wasn't wearing a scarf btw, but maybe I just didn't look like Grant Mitchell. It was one of those many reminders I've had over the years never to assume...
Neil Harris on his way out at Millwall on 16:29 - Dec 10 with 1930 views | joe90 | I like Millwall. They're my local club and my interaction with the fans has always been positive and never lived up to the *negative* stereotype. I get the impression that the Millwall fans that live in Lewisham are different to the ones who have moved out the area. One thing that does make me laugh whenever I see it is a van in my area that has Millwall, communist, vegan and free Palestine stickers on it, haha. Those Marxist hunters need to look a bit closer to home.
