You say one thing is crystal clear about Reform , what is exactly ?

The only problem with Reform is, Labour supporters are getting very jittery.

Loads and loads of retired Southern Englanders have moved to the area over the last 10 years or so.
Sold for big bucks, bought for half the money.
Trouble is they have clogged the local surgeries, dentists etc.
I was lucky to get in.

They are lucky it’s a million.
£325k for other folk isn’t it?
Perhaps ordinary folk should be doing the protesting.

You can easily identify the idiot Socialists by how little they understand the farming situation.

There's no way on Earth that small farmers having to sell their land to larger concerns in order to pay death duties when the parents die could end badly is there?

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

It's amazing that DEFRA got consulted the day before the budget, first rule of change is to involve those impacted by the change in the design of the solution.

This does not bode well.

You can also add in the likely job losses as a result of the increase in NI.

You could almost assume that Reeves had set out to screw things up deliberately.

There are two sure things about all this.

Labour will not serve a second term.

Labour are making sure they lose the majority of their seats in the next Senedd election.

Has any government been as unpopular in such a short time after being elected.

Whether or not Labour serve a second term will probably depend on how well Badenoch deals with the Reform situation.

Clearly Labour's election win was based in large part on Tory voters either not bothering to turn out or swapping to Reform. If she can re-energise the ones who didn't vote and claim some back then Labour will lose.

They have badly misread the mandate they were given IMO. People don't want a high tax and spend Labour Govt. They were mostly tired of the Tories, but again and again hard Left policies have been rejected by the UK electorate.

The pension proposals have ' risk ' written all over them. A couple of poor big investment decisions will cost the tax payer billions and billions.
Diversification is key in pension fund management rather than consolidation. I predict investment mistakes or a market downturn will mean scaling back of pension benefits and increases in contribution rates.

I won't claim to know much about the situation. Some Canadian and Australian pension schemes have gone this way. To what success I don't know.

Seems like she wants them to front up and pay for infrastructure expenditure on her behalf. Good luck with that.

Australian funds are defined contribution, the LGPS is defined benefit.
In DC schemes poor investment performance results in lower pensions, in DB schemes poor investment performance results in the need for additional funding to meet defined liabilities.
Much bigger risk playing with DB schemes.
There is money to be made in the City on the back of these changes, we will see optimism bias at the start of all this and buyers remorse when you get a downturn in the investment cycle. Many stock markets including the USA are over priced, the likes of Buffet are selling at the present.

For the most part they're the type crowing about this decision and making references to "normal" people's IHT allowances.

Y'know. Morons.

Have a skin irritation , flares up and can be aggresive on some occasions , it is troublesome without being life threating medical issue , some patients have lost their lives in the back of ambulances in a parking bay , I cannot complain in the bigger picture of the state the NHS .

GP appointments are a lottery , go on our designated online booking system to see a Doctor or book a phone consultation with our triage system of dealing with ailments .

How any older patients can navigatate this minefield of online bookings or even go to a designated site , not many I presume including me on occasions .

Good news is I have had a letter from Swansea Bay Trust regarding this issue I have .

Waiting list to see a Specialst Dermatologist is over a Year , just passed that milestone now in my case .

Aneurin Bevans dream of a fair medical system sunk under red tape and Managers .

As mentioned early, financial planning for those with small family farms in most cases would see IHT avoided.

There are always problems with universal policies like these. The aim is to tax people like James Dyson, who had a front page headline in the Mail complaining about the impact on farmers and forgot to mention he bought 34,000 acres of land to avoid IHT. See also Jeremy Clarkson.

Looks like farmers are planning to bring London to a standstill in protest. Let’s see if they’re dealt with in the same way as the Just Stop Oil numpties.
