Positive thread alert: Posters you appreciate 08:45 - Nov 9 with 8815 views | oldmeadoniansR | Starting the long journey to the European capital of football and wanted a positive thread to keep the spirits up. For me discodroid always entertains. Fantastic way with words. Dorse always good value. Hunter for his certainty and not sure who it was but there was a poster who described what must have been epic QPR fictional battles of the 70''s and 80's. Your thoughts?

Particular shout outs to the Frankie Boys who have all become great pals - LBlock and paulparker - aka Statler and Waldorf - up there on the balcony (every season we are doomed by October) but their love of our club cannot be denied. Our overseas contingent - silky (NZ), FredManRave (Argentina) and Leon (Auz) Plus merseyhoop, Brixton/QPsyR (with his three day weekends!), W13, londonscottish, PunteR, westberksr and of course Disco. Our love of QPR and dance music is our glue. I have met many others from here too - rollercoaster (FFP guru and voice of reason) terryb (voice of reason 2.0) ,ngbqpr (another font of musical knowledge), hubble and several infrequent posters (or lurkers ) [Post edited 15 Nov 11:23]

That thread, showing no sign of let up. Just keeps on keeping on . Yeh completely agree mate, great lads .Its a genuine group of mates now. Nice to finally meet NGB a few games ago too. Also a big shout out to OutwestR. The coolest dude on that thread and an excellent radio DJ, with a fine selection of records. Check his latest show here. https://www.mixcloud.com/JdeLooze/vinyl-horizons-14-nov-2024/

Positive thread alert: Posters you appreciate on 13:00 - Nov 11 by ted_hendrix | BklynRanger Is the poster I appreciate the best, easily the funniest poster on here by a Country mile, knows his football too and Is a good bloke to meet. So many good posters from the old rivals days gone missing, Harkouks, Harlesden, Sharpy, Real_Loftus, Son Of Strange and of course the brilliant Rodneysgongger, all mad as f uck whether on here or In the Crown and Sceptre after a game. |
Ach you big lug!... I only came on here to improvise some typically awkward gag - now I'm all touched. Right back at you big fella, as I never say.

I may not post as much as I'd like now because of caring duties (which seriously interrupts my getting to HQ at the moment - but that almost feels like a blessing this year) but what everyone else has said. I may disagree vehemently with some, laugh with others and genuinely shed the odd tear a few times this year, but I do read and enjoy most. Clive you and the LFW writing crew are brilliant. XTC baffles me the most, but love him just the same. Disco - awesome, insane madness. Brian CTN, top man. The rest of you awesome people too. LFW is addictive and its posters make it work. If only the football was as good it would almost be enjoyable!

I thoroughly agree - this forum has been a help to me in difficult times, plenty of like-minded folk mostly really good humoured. The Covid period being a case in point. | | | | Login to get fewer ads
