Sounds a bit like like Good all John Prescott when he punched a protester he was Deputy prime minister under Tony Blair.

Nothing like it felix as you well know. The protester attacked him, albeit with just an egg. He simply reacted the way many people would.

So with Raab’s ‘robust’ manner in standing up to these left wing, liberal, woke, snowflake civil servants, what exactly did he achieve in his 7 years on the front bench, 5 of which were in the cabinet?

A lot more than these woke civil servants.

Since just before covoid rhe productivity of the public sector has fallen by 7.5% well the private sector productivity is above pre covoid levels.

Seems that with 50% of civil servants still working from home in some departments they are getting less done.

44% of graduate jobs currently have an aspect of home working so not that different really.

If you’re saying the civil servants achieved less than Raab, what did he achieve?

I can list his disasters if you like?

Yrs I can list the disaster areas since covoid

Long delays at DVLA getting licence renewals especially HGV licences. No staff at DVLA to answer phones.

Long delays getting new passports issued. No staff to answer phones at passport offices.

A lot of the civil service jobs can only be done at their offices.
That is why their productivity has fallen by 7.5%.

Most if not 90% of people in the private sector go to work in their workplace as the jobs cannot be done from home.

Fair play, you make Kilks look centrist.

13 years of Tory rule and everything’s cr*p. Is anything their fault?

Pathetic is the proper term!

In fairness Gwyn, with much respect, you come over a# one of a rather left persuasion and any matter that can be used to bash the Tories is welcomed.
In this case,we are talking about bullying whose definition has become wider .
I must have had over a hundred bullies for managers in my lifetime. In the day, you simply did as 6u were told . It’s why the Military have “ bullies” . In a combat situation, there is no time for discussion unless you want to end up in a body bag .

We are drifting towards collective insanity

We are no more respectful a society, simply more disingenuous .I see people pining for the poor when the reality is they wouldn’t wipe their feet on them .

What you know about the public sector then, I know for a fact that a most if not all were told to stay at home and work from there.
Especially those with vulnerability or those who lived with someone who was vulnerable, correct decision 100%.

I am left of centre however I have voted Tory previously.

I have on occasion praised them (recently I defended Sunak on the childcare issue)

However, the Tory part since 2016 have been a shambles.

I believe if we did a quick poll on here you would find that a pretty substantial majority, certainly not a few, would say they'd react in a similar way to John Prescott.

Your original point comparing JP with Raab is yet another of the hundreds of your anti Labour posts while defending the absolute shower of you know what that the Con government are.

An egg but Prescott was always a bully in the commons or with his staff seems it was okay at the time.

Dangerous time from democracy when left wing civil servants can no refuse to do their job properly and hold up work of a democratically elected government.

Seems that over 40 people complained only 20 were deemed worth investigating of which 18 were spurious complaints and only two were upheld.

It sets a precedent that politically motivated civil servants can now complain of very low level bullying to get rid of a minister who policies they don't like.

Wonder if the same low level of bullying will be applied to unions and their picket lines.

Who’s to say they’re left wing civil servants? I’d have thought that most of the people engaging with a Minister of State are very senior, potentially Oxbridge and most certainly not left wing. It appears a number of the people involved have worked with Senior Ministers for many years and never had issues. We’re not talking junior oiks here.

Forty people have complained, that’s a huge number, 20 of the cases were deemed sufficient to be investigation and eventually 2 were actually proven to be bullying. There could be some substance to the other 38 complaints but not to the extent the conduct became bullying.

Remember Major, woke type words are now used by some to describe things they don’t like, like ministers resigning after bullying allegations are verified through an independent report, drag acts, women footballers and too many black people on the telly.

No evidence is necessary.

We could now be moving into a culture of alleged shop floor bullying , seen it in a retail enviroment , that man manager , through his awful attitude made staff feel unwanted .

Alas , whatever level of management people bluff their way to acheive , some clowns get there , never know the background to these Raab complaints though .

Probably lawyers and spin doctors are working overtime , at a cost , to clear his name .

No need for an apology just look up the dictionary definition of bigot.

Bigot is not an insult just a noun.
