Only 400 tickets sold for kids for a £1 section 18:51 - Feb 23 with 6625 views | mart_Goblin | That’s only about a third (roughly) of that section . And that’s what annoyed me about Lee Hoos’ slight contempt in his interview last week. Poorly or not he has given up on the next generations of supporters . Where are they? The club need to do so much more to entice youngsters to come and watch us play . I understand that we are garbage right now but £1 for children should be snapped up even with the price of living etc . [Post edited 23 Feb 2023 19:07]

Only 400 tickets sold for kids for a £1 section on 19:27 - Feb 23 by GaryBannister86 | But, to play devil's advocate, didn't he say exactly this? It doesn't matter if you do kid for a quid or a free pie or pint or flag or t-shirt....makes very little difference. People turn up when the football is good, end of. That's what I understood him to be saying, when he wasn't coughing or laughing anyway. |
Yep, he's been consistent with the message during his whole time here.

Only 400 tickets sold for kids for a £1 section on 13:33 - Feb 24 by enfieldargh | Its taken me over 30 minutes to buy a seat for tomorrow on the website. Everytime I tried to fill my cc details and submit it sent me back to the homepage. Then I decided to sign out/sign in again item was still in the basket entered different cc this time hit send and it took me to my profile page!!!! Gave up phoned the box office got straight through and got that seat i wanted , easy peasy japonesey QPR dont half make hard work of things |
If I were the owners I would simplify the DOF and CEO's targets the along lines of.... Les being judged solely on succession planning and progression from the academy. Lee being judged solely on sorting out our website and helping the club sell tickets to willing customers. If he can't sort this out after maybe 2 years, he needs firing, end of.
Only 400 tickets sold for kids for a £1 section on 16:48 - Feb 24 with 916 views | HantsR | Well, talking about next generation supporters, there will be 4 other reps from the HantsR stable there tomorrow, youngest of whom are 6 and 7 with the youngest having his 'first match' experience, courtesy of the club. The flag waving, view from the dugout, high fives, goody bag and photos will be super, but a win would help make their day rather special.
Only 400 tickets sold for kids for a £1 section on 17:55 - Feb 24 with 837 views | Juzzie | Me and Juzzie Jnr will be going, first time since last Easter when we sent Derby down! Wanted to go originally, then thought the atmosphere may be toxic (I don't mind but he might have found it a bit much) but since Gareth came back decided last minute and booked tickets today. The only two seats we could get together in the lower loft was the rail seating so that should be an interesting experience too. Oh, and it was kids for £0.00! :)

Only 400 tickets sold for kids for a £1 section on 08:18 - Feb 24 by mart_Goblin | Yes in hindsight and reading the comments back my original post comes over as a bit of whinge so apologies for that . I was maybe trying to get over a point I’ve been making for 20+ years that I thought the club needed to try harder in filling the lower school end at certain games by trying to connect with the kids on that huge estate opposite and the huge amount of ‘traffic’ going in and out of Westfield everyday and by making us a ‘presence’ locally . having one match that is kids for £1 in the middle of a dismal run and people saying ‘what else can the club do?’ blows my mind a little . Lee Hoos has always been someone I backed and admired but he looks defeated now . Maybe because he threw his eggs into one basket and said we have to move to survive , he didn’t think the local community would be the local community for much longer ? I work a lot in South West London and see billboards for Palace on the A3 and Chelsea in Wandsworth and Fulham in New Malden. I no longer do much social media but I’m across some of it but apart from the initial announcement and a post yesterday weirdly, I dint think there has been much advertising about tomorrow at all. I could be wrong and I stand corrected if so but the club still needs to do so much more . I get that these things cost money and it’s got to be spent wisely but did Les need a brand new re fit for of his private box at a rangers this year which would have cost a pretty penny let me assure you ? Anyway, it was just a fear. A fear that the older generations will die off, bought to hand with my dad being diagnosed with cancer in the last month or 2 . He has followed Rangers home and away for near 70 years . But this generation is fast leaving , and the club need to be sure there is a future generation ready to step into their shoes and follow this bonkers but amazing club [Post edited 24 Feb 2023 8:23]

I see adverts in the metro for West Ham games quite frequently. and wonder if QPR advertise these in the local papers. As you say the club needs to look for future generations to replace those of us over 50s. However, I font think Hood is going to succeed there.
