Views ?

“They’ve all had a big three weeks of training and both are carrying little niggles, nothing too heavy but you weigh it up and assess it,” added Martin.

“We have a few more games coming up where they can get minutes, so the decision was made by us and the sports science and medical teams just to give them the day off today and I’m sure they’ll both be back next week at some point.”

Move along. Nothing to see here.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

Garrick has a Swansea history of muscle issues but last season turned out 50 times scoring 8 goals and 7 assists compatible with the older Harness.

He started about 30 or so and came off in just about every one and came on as sub in the other 20 toward the end of the season from general observation. This might be good management of a speedster. He has never had an injury free run like this at Swansea so far.

Martin insists on total commitment in training, no second best, I think that could be the issue.

Gareth Bale would to take days off or just have a massage when he was at Spurs. Some athletes aren't built for daily punishment.

RM gave an insight in the fans forum. They get every Thursday off and the days after games are lighter sessions.

Monk trained players into the ground and they looked shattered. … it can be done with some for some of the time but everyone is different.

I know with marathon training you have easy weeks and use some races as a marathon paced run to get used to running at a set pace in a race situation, which is slower than you would for say a stand alone half marathon.

Same applies here, they’re over training at the moment as it’s pre season and playing friendlies, they’ll then taper before the first game and be fresh,

Absolutely this. Nice to see a reasoned response rather than an over the top reaction to a certain phrase!
