My death row last supper would be;
Steak n Kidney Pudding with mash and peas and gravy and brown sauce.
I'm in California and the only way I get that is if I make it myself. I can get Steak n kidney pie but not pudding. Pudding is 100 times more delish to me!

I've been very lucky to have a large number o tasting menus at michelin starred and other high concept restaurants, but if I could only ever have one meal ever again it would definitely be spaghetti in a bag from Ciao Bella on Lamb's Conduit Street. London's most iconic dish imo.

I also have very fond memories of standing at little food corner in Beirut, eating a chicken shawarma (they put chips in the wrap) with a beer so cold it made me head hurt. The whole street was devastated in the Port explosion, and at the moment with the fuel shortages people are getting ill eating out as the power can't keep fridges cold enough. Grateful I managed to go in basically the only window it was possible to visit, and sad at how hard those wonderful people are having it atm

I had a proper French multi course meal once cooked by a French family. Although I enjoyed the experience I'm not sure I was mad about all the food. Most memorable course for me was balls of Melon floating in Port. Never heard of that before or since.

Perhaps my favourite meal ever was a brunch I had in Inverness. Some sort of egg dish with smoked salmon on a soft muffin with a butter sauce. Washed down with a pint of ale. Heaven.

Melon floating in port!

Just had a childhood memory of when occasionally we would have half a melon with the middle scooped out, and my dad would add in a little dessert wine.
