The last league meeting was in the premier league in 2015 at Watford which the swans won 2-1. The sides did meet in the league cup in 2019 which Watford won 2-1 in a controversial game. Swansea City record v Watford Games won: 22 Games drawn:10 Games lost: 17 First meeting 02 Sep 1920 Swansea Town 2 Watford 1 Division Three (South) Watford in 2021 Until April 2019, when Watford played at Vicarage Road their players traditionally entered the pitch at the start of the game to the Z-Cars theme tune. However, in mid-April 2019 the team changed their entrance song to Elton John's "I'm Still Standing" More about Elton later, as you would expect. Head coach Xisco Muñoz Assistant head coach Roberto Cuesta Striker Luther Blissett holds the record for Watford appearances, having played 503 matches in all competitions between 1976 and 1992, and his 415 appearances in The Football League during the same period is also a club record. Blissett holds the corresponding goalscoring records, with 186 career Watford goals, 148 of which were in the league. The records for the most league goals in a season is held by Cliff Holton, having scored 42 goals in the 1959—60 season. The highest number of goals scored by a player in a single game at a professional level is the six registered by Harry Barton against Wycombe Wanderers in September 1903. Luther Blissett being a Watford player with another man called John What do we know about the Watfords Not dissimilar to the Waltons, the family with 17 children all born in a minute a while ago, Watfords also are unique. Whilst we all know about the Waltons, the Watfords are slightly different. Primarily they are made out of an ingredient called brimson, many people in that Watfords are made out of brimson. Prime example is a man called Brimson, a character from the old Charles Dickens days who was in a sexual relationship with Bob Cratchett's wife Cerys. We have sourced a photograph of this person and transferred him in to modern day man. Brimson the man who bagged Cerys Cratchett behind Bobs back When Bob found out about Brimson he spent many nights dreaming up ways to kill him, or generally maim him. Unfortunately Inspector Button was working in the area and was trialling a new radio made out of cheese and stopped him. Nobody knows how he did it, but he wasn’t an inspector for nothing. Luckily the wrath of a Cratchett never came to fruition for Brimson Things to do in Watford Harry Potter lives in a studio in Watford and if you ring him he will take you round his studio for money. Cheslyn Gardens is a nice spot, especially for doggers, you can get a big mouthful of ham with a spreadable cheese ending for no money at all. Just bring your car, your mrs and your mobile phone. Another great place to visit is Bushey Rose Garden, now Rose who opened the bushey rose garden some while ago was another let’s say less scrupulous of Hertfordshire ladies. Yes, her bushey roses were known throughout the county but she didn’t make good use of available personal hygiene amenities locally. At times people would stop and sniff and say ‘Ooooooh, that’s fishy’ then Rose would appear and they would all look at each other and give a big sigh. Finally on our adventure through the historical Watford’s is a visit to the Watford Colliseum. Built in 1938 it used to be the place to go to watch gladiators and bull fighting, sometimes a film. It became even more famous when acoustic people turned up there and made noises. It is also available to rent for parties and cookery lessons. The world famous Watford Coliseum, available for Roman fights and cookery lessons. ( Closed on Thursdays ) Subscribe on Twitter ! Says a lot for the character in the group & Cooper’s calm influence - only half-way through the season but good job Jacks!

I'm watching it in the most painful way possible: reading updates on here and on the BBCs football site. Maybe I should just fork out the money for Swans TV and save myself the agony of being 2 or 3 minutes behind everyone else 😱 |
You should dig deep in those deep northern pockets and chip in for Lohengrin too 👠

Great possession passing football coming back after going a goal down. Funny how now we have the right surface the clown/fraud of a manager plays to the conditions...2 more goals from a player the armchair experts were writing off and I doubt the Watford fans will question why they didn't do better when we had a weakened side as apparently Reading did against us.

Just shows how good our young defender are. I still worry about Cooper's use of subs. Another good performance but again there was an element of sitting back on a lead. Another good all round performance with Robert my MOM for his first half.

As for Super Steve, orry if it's tedious but you can use subs to help out players out on their feet. Also Ayew can be subbed too. A time to ret the main players for the cup game surely. Benda in goal, then we'll see if he can replace Fred when he goes back to Newcastle

Nige. Look,I know it'll be tedious but stay with us ... Cooper is nowhere near a great manager. He,IMO,is still not protecting players on bringing on subs when players are shattered. It makes me sick frankly to see lads really sweating blood for the cause and yet not being taking off when their job is done and where fresh legs can protect the lead. It s basic management. If you cannot see that, then I'll pray for you. You ,as regards. teve need to cool it as it might be a case of unrequited love . Build a wax image of the great man in your Conservatory and worship in private. Great win and performance in spite of a totally soft give away goal that should never have happened. If we are strong throughout ,we really can go up although what our owners would then do is not worth thinking of .

Nobody shouted out for subs on 65 mins when prompted. Too easy for the critical armchair fan in hindsight. Grow a pair and make your calls live when it matters. Sitting back on a lead ?? A hallmark of our side this year is how we take the game to the oppo, even when we’re winning. You’re either not watching or already listening eyes wide shut.

Let's get a few things straight 1. The players are professional footballers and are trained to play for at least 90 mins They get a minimum of 72 hours rest between games after putting in 90 mins....how many of us have ourselves or had fathers/grandfathers who did a minimum if 480 minutes hard graft with maybe only 16 hours at most rest between the next shift. 3. Ask Curt Wyndham about how in their day there was only one sub often never used...they played Saturday and Tuesday on heavy pitches in heavy boots not the slippers of today without the sport medicine diet regime and support of today's cosseted players We are second in the league with a squad assembled on a shoestring compared to some of the other sides on the league...due to how we are managed...support the clu support the players support the manager who is doing well. Even Tosh,Roberto, Brendan,Laudrup didn't always get things right...Cooper is only in his second season as a league manager and has us in the mix for automatic promotion and last season got us to the playoffs we are playing good football ....for heavens sake open your eyes and take off the blinkers

Swansea City v Watford : Matchday Thread : Sat 2nd Jan 21 : NEW YEARS DAY UPDATE on 18:02 - Jan 2 with 1157 views | jackrabbit | Very impressive win against a neat and powerful Watford side. Well done the whole team! And well done the manager for staying calm and collected on the sidelines. If I had been on the field I would have taken strength from not witnessing my manager degenerate into panic mode. It really is great to see Lowe showing his class. He was superb today and scored two outstanding goals against an excellent ‘keeper. I’m not going to single out any other players because it was a team effort and I thought all the boys played well. And I’m certainly not going to post negative comments after a win like that. It’s beyond belief that there are those on here who can post negative, personal comments on a day like today. Now we have a half-decent pitch we’re starting to show some footballing form.

It seems some need something to bash us with. The favoured cheap shot is our use of subs. It’s pathetic. Even more pathetic when they are unable to make the subs call when prompted on 65 mins. Best ignore such armchair experts.

Fortunately he was yet again bailed out by the rest of the team. It goes to show that stats mean absolutely nothing. He's the goalkeeper in what is arguably the best defence this league has seen in a decade, yet he's playing so poorly.
