wee jimmy krankie on 17:09 - Dec 29 with 3101 views | trampie | A lot of left leaning parties are pro indy, it's the right wing, survival of the fittest types including NuLabour and Lib-Dems that all for the English led union. A federation of states ok but not the medieval GSTQ, state church, unelected second chamber that the quislings that support England favour, it is medieval, that is what it was like centuries ago Monarchy, State and Church hand in glove, hereditary peers, etc. It's madness for the remaining part of Ireland or Scotland or Wales to follow the outdated right wing English model in this day and age.

No Nicola sees the clear benefits of working together as equals. She is very pro EU. The UK on the other hand .... I think the nice EU people also created a vaccine .... which we use ...? Being in the EU has many benefits 🇪🇺✌🾠

Being outside has many more benefits, greater democracy, the ability to make trade deals with every country in the world not just 27. The UK is always stronger together. The welsh and the Scottish both benefit from the vast subsidies from the UK government.

The UK government borrows money, it is so much in debt it cannot afford to be an independent country. Wales qualified for EU funding because it was so poor as part of the failing UK.

As I keep telling you it was not EU money but UK taxpayers money which after the EU took its cut was returned to parts of the UK. Have you ever wondered why after 20 years of labour rule Wales was considered a poor EU region.

Ten years ago Ireland had to be bailed out to the tune of £85bn, Killy. She was within days of the lights going out and old age pensions going unpaid.

The money only got to Wales due to the EU. Left to the UK govt, Wales became poor and in need of EU support.

Wales gets £15 billion+ a year for its budget. The amount we got back from the EU was minuscule in comparison and came with the caveat that we had to spend it on whatever they told us to spend it on.

Wales is government by the welsh Assembly or senedd. Like Scotland it gets a large subsidy per person from the UK government which somehow Drakeford seems to waste.

Yeah we’ve had devolution for nearly quarter of a century now. It’s about time people stopped chucking the blame at Westminster for things that are under the Senedd’s jurisdiction. It’s a failure of successive welsh governments that we still have areas that are the poorest in Western Europe. If anyone is diddled by the Barnett Formula it’s the English as they get less per head. We also now have tax raising powers that we choose not to use so we can’t complain about not having enough money. We’ve got a welsh government, it’s here to stay but it seems to be completely immune to any criticism or accountability. They’ve got to own their failings.

The EU certainly borrowed in order to loan Ireland money, at an interest, but the larger part came from the UK and the John Keynes and Harry White Anglo-American creation the IMF. Without the intercession of the Anglosphere Ireland would have gone into complete civil meltdown.

Well the UK government committed genocide in Ireland where 1 million people starved to death. Its pretty hard to brush that to one side. Its had an armed struggle since 1916 (and before) just to obtain the freedom that every nation on earth is entitled to. Very pleased that Brexit has rightly put the Irish border in the Irish Sea. So not much to thank the UK for. Same culture - complete ignorance sorry. Look up ‘Gaelic and free’. Same language - like wales, the English language imposed and the local language very badly treated Drive on same side - sorry, i understand now that your post is a joke - my apologies. ‘The British govt never had any right to be in Ireland, has no right to be in Ireland, and can never have any right to be in Ireland’.

The irish have no right to live in Wales either. Meanwhile the british have saved 100 of millions of lives across the world with their advances in medicine, vaccines, industrial advances, freed Europe from dictatorship three times from napoleon, Mussolini and Hitler. Well done our great country and it's people freeing itself again from the Undemocratic EU.
