yeah I did it a couple of times in the 90's but it was from Chorlton st back then and wasn't football related, it'll be the same bus service but moved to shudehill now.. yeah thinking about it their is a big new station on shudehill been their years now opposite the met stop but I suspect im quite abit older than you.

mind you good day get off the train at smithy bridge couple in topps then walk upto lake , beach, chippy on the front, wine press then is it called riverside down the road from wine press nice gaff then walk into littleborough round the corner from the station a real pub cant remember its name maybe its rose n crown then the town centre ones.
theirs one in the town centre which is club like not far from station which was always a laugh.
my favs are the wine press and riverside but thats hollingworth lake to me apart from riverside.
