I know he has been mentioned on another thread, but I reckon he's worth one of his own. Just passed 18m GBP, with 6m raised in the last 24 hours. Also not just the money, but when he is interviewed what a thoroughly nice man, bringing a genuine spirit lifting mood. Sharp as a tack too for a 99 year old

Not usually one for awards, gongs etc but if ever someone deserved some recognition, this guy is it. Would be great to get something on his 100th birthday ( at the end of the month?)

Considering what some folk get Knighhoods for, it wouldn't seem out of place here. He served his country in his youth and continued to do so to the end in his own way. Inspirational.

Think of risks taken purchasing that card and posting it.

Getting a Spitfire fly by on 30th to commemorate the ton up. Not sure whether to post on here or arrivals thread as we seem to have quite a few plane enthusiasts

Bump.

Received 140k birthday cards which he can open when he's finished his 200th lap today to celebrate his century.

In case anyone was thinking of contributing and not got round to it, his just giving pages closes at midnight tonight.

Silly Naga Munchetty made it all about herself on Breakfast News this morning, wanting to be the first to wish him, from her personally, all the best.

Charley Stayt showed a bit of class by wishing him a happy birthday from 'all of us here'.

Must be an ultra-competitive world in her head.
