Weakest squad at Swansea 23:10 - Feb 12 with 5038 views | swancity | For at least 10 seasons And no that’s not the fault of the management. The club is in transition. It’s adapting to a new way of life and it’s not pretty. Think back to our last promotion from the Championship 9 years ago. A defence consisting of four from Monk Tate Williams Taylor Rangel. All experienced good pros. Leaders. Contrast and compare. It’s tragic. But carry on blaming Cooper if that makes you feel better...

Naughton and Roberts every time for me. Only real case I can make for Boswell is it puts Naughton on his stronger side

Weakest squad at Swansea on 14:18 - Feb 14 by AngelRangelQS | Ayew in general is a big reason why we are where we are. £18m transfer fee 4 months before being relegated, huge wages, hardly setting the world alight on the pitch. Probably the most costly mistake this club has ever made. Along with Bony. |
Ayew in general is a big reason why we are where we are. 10th in the league rather than 20th?

I think he means having to sell off our silver and replace them (temporarily) with Pedersen. You’re right though, he has been a talisman all season. Would probably be better again as a 9 or a 10

You're right. In a way, we are lucky we've had him this season but overall he's still been an absolute disaster. Imagine the options we'd have if we had an extra £18m in the bank and weren't throwing away £4m a year on him (and committed to the same next year). [Post edited 14 Feb 2020 17:13]

Weakest squad at Swansea on 20:33 - Feb 13 by londonlisa2001 | The problem in my view, and it’s obviously contentious, is Ayew. It was the same last time he was here. Where to play him. He gives no pace or width, so playing him outside Brewster just doesn’t work. And in matching up by doing the same with Celina on the other side, it’s compounding the problem. If we play him, it really has to be as a ‘9’, or at a push, a ‘10’, allowing us to put pace out wide. We are being killed for being too narrow, too slow, and too congested. I’d play him at 9, Celina at 10 and play two wingers. I’d even prefer us to swap Ayew and Brewster and put Brewster wide with a winger on the other side. Plus our defence is shambolic. |
Partly read my post. Ayew at 9 tonight. Celina seems to be wide again though. Should be at 10 if playing and we should have pace out wide.

With who buying the players? Would those options be another Clucas? You're a good poster but hindight posts , no matter the poster, are useless.

After that defensive tour de force this is even more comical.
