Manager update 20:40 - Jun 3 with 26134 views | Headmaster | Toshack, Poyet, and Appleton included in a 6-man shortlist that is yet to be finalised. Mellon and Flynn are out. Henry and Kollner unlikely. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/48498757 An uninspiring list to say the least. Preferences? [Post edited 3 Jun 2019 20:41]

Manager update on 17:31 - Jun 5 by BillyChong | Was he? I can’t remember that. |
Can't find the article now but it was definitely said by either Huw or Brendan. Quick search on Twitter and saw this from 2011 Dean Thomas-Welch @ITVDean · 14 Jun 2011 Replying to @AlunWade @AlunWade Brendan Rodgers was 4th choice manager for the Swans - but it's hard to see any other manager being able to achieve what he did.

I think that’s always been a bit of a myth to be honest.

Yes, either him or the German guy. I'm just praying it's not going to be Poyet, might be wrong, however I think he'll be a disaster.

Glad there are still people with sense on here. I think he did brilliantly at Oxford - good pair of hands. Any Oxford fan will tell you they were lucky to have him.

Kollner would be my second choice as well.

Sounds like Slavan Bilic will be announced there soon.

I'd never heard of him, but having done a few searches this is potentially reassuring. It seems like there's some genuine thought going into this process. Whether they make the right decision only time will tell. But at least they seem to be looking at options other than those on the same old boring manager merry go round.

Would be a bizarre appointment in my opinion. Surely Stuivenberg is the better of the two? At least he has some first-team managerial experience. Cooper's only been a youth coach. Also, I refuse to believe Leon and Curt would let Bowen become our next manager.

He was the 16th name mentioned. Four turned it down before him.

Didn’t chancer Jenkins later build the myth that it was part of a succession of genius appointments by him. 😆
