Could never master the Vulcan Live Long and Prosper V sign either. RIP Mr Spock.
Remember watching the show as a 10 year old, always wanted to be cool and laid back like Spock. Not a trekkie at all but feel a bit sad about this, must just be old age. RIP indeed
One of my childhood acting heroes. I loved the character of Spock, the Mk 1 Star Treks, [ and still do ] and also Mission Impossible where he had a part for while. Seems illogical that he has gone. RIP.
There aint half been some clever bastards.

Dammit. The interraction and humour between Spock and McCoy was what gave the tv series depth. You looked beyond the plastic sets,a wonderful experience. R.I.P.

I heard an interview with him where he explained where he got that salute from. Apparently, it was a blessing that his rabbi used (representing the Hebrew letter aleph - first letter of 'Adonai') and Nimoy adopted it for the character.
As far as the neck pinch goes, I still 'Spock' my kids and am pleased to report it works brilliantly.
RIP Leonard.

We'll be meeting up on the next series of 'The Gift'. 'I want to meet up with him to apologise for repeated spockings, wedgies, nipple cripples, Chinese burns, dead arms and leaving copies of Razzle in his school bag. I really was a terrible teacher'.
