Shaun Wright-Phillips can give QPR boost, says Onuoha on 14:53 - Aug 6 by EastR
This is the conversation that should have happened 2 pre seasons ago. Beard : Shaun, sit down. Oh, you are. Listen Shaun, you’re rubbish and we don’t want you here anymore. SWP: I know Phil. On both counts. Beard: so here’s the cheque for 40% of what’s left of your contract. SWP: I want 80%. Beard : I’ll go to 50% SWP: 70% Beard: Ok, we’ll split the difference. 60%. Goodbye.

Beard: *blank face* SWP: Listen mate, here's the deal. I'm on the wind down to retirement now. My day's gone. Motivation isn't there any more. Fitness isn't there any more. You guys offered me a terrific contract when I signed and I signed it in good faith. I'm under no obligation to go anywhere and do anything for another year. I turn up to training every day, I like the lads, get on well with everybody. Explain to me why I should take 40% of what I'm legally entitled to?

It's called honesty and a basic knowledge of football.
Something that the owners who sanctioned the bid for R'SWiPe never had.
The Orange One who stages crashes to win F1 races and the Poisoned Dwarf who bribes his way to buying F1. Two perfect unfit for purpose specimens who should buy the useless twonk again as an ornament for their mantelpiece.
I thought he was brought in under TF reign. Tango and cash would only stretch to the likes of Perone. I think Tango and Cash would have had him bumped off in an accident by now.
God I hope he doesn't play next season, I'd rather an youth player got a chance.

I know he represents a laughable, appalling, historic waste of money, but he's never slagged us off, always (to my eyes) puts in the effort when picked, and he scored a winner at Stamford Bridge.
There have been many worse villains here over the past three years, and he didn't choose to pay himself a huge wedge for four years, we did.
I might be mad, but I still think he could be useful this season, maybe at wing back (then again I said that about last season).

I really think SWP would have benefitted from some specialist coaching. From my experience as a swimming coach many years ago when athletes are physically stretched their brains are starved of oxygen and their judgement is compromised. After a hard swimming set I knew when they had given a lot because they couldn't understand what I was telling them, not because it was difficult to understand, but because their brains couldn't work until they had rested and recovered their brain's oxygen supply.
I think this may explain what happens with SWP, once he has put everything into a run he can no longer judge his cross / shot. He needs to concentrate on fast sprint work and getting extra fit so his body can supply his brain with the nutrients it needs at the end of it, so his judgement is improved. It may be too late for this now as he rarely plays and it would take a lot of work to get to the required level for him to be effective. I think he does try, but unless the problem is identified and he deals with it by this means of very intensive training he may never realise the potential he once had.
Who's Next?

I love this theory Somerset. He's so fast that the rest of his game is hopeless. Would explain Tony Scully/Franz Carr/many others as well
Without inviting the wrath of ShotKnees etc, still can't get behind hating SWP. The likes of Bosingwa I get, but SWP is still ours, and he's at least kept his head down and got on with it. I'm still praying for a Furlong or even Zamora style second wind

Wrath on its way, at least Boswanker had the good grace to realise he was taking the piss, and sodded off. SWP is beyond redemption, he really ought to be loaned out to a non league club to learn his trade.
Why does it feel like R'SWiPe is still on the books? Yer Couldn't Make It Up.Well Done Me!

SWP has photographs of Hughes with a rent boy and Harry with a ladyboy hidden away with his lawyer/agent in case he doesn't make the squad or gets farmed out on loan.
As sherlock holmes said "Once you have eliminated the impossible whatever remains, however improbable must be the truth". Or something like that.

The little fella's got the 11 shirt!! Hope Shot Knees is OK??
Ye gods, no! Is it April 1st?
I am seriously worried about how I am going to control my rage if I see him blaze yet another chance over the bar, Johnny Wilkinson style
There is simply no excuse for his inability to hit the target with shots and to get a cross over to one of our players. You can practise passing and shooting, apparently, There is no law against it. Two goals in nearly three years for SWP. That's utterly abyssmal.
Old joke warning: What's the difference between a constipated owl and SWP?

I'm honestly flabbergasted. And my soul hurts a little bit that we can give that absolutely piss-poor excuse for a footballer a living, a *proper* number and an actual squad place. I think my entire being will melt into a rage-addled puddle if that little shite starts the game and continues doing what he's been doing the whole time with us.
I can't even join in with his song ironically any more. It pains me that he may think someone on God's green earth actually likes him
Shit but local

I think we just need to more imaginative in the way we use him. For instance, if Rio enters the box late with SWP on his shoulders, we might have a chance of scoring from one of Joey's high corners.

i think its pretty clear, ive given this some thought, and having discussed this in detail with the old lady next door , it must be that a slow reacting poison has been introduced to 'h''s blood stream ...
a bizarre yet diabolical experiment , the antidote is in shaun wright phillips , which must be milked to administer the life giving elixer
modesty forbids me to reveal which part of swp anatomy must be subjected to these ministrations.
but its not his knob.
me and flo Think its his left nipple.

Good call! Alternatively, Dunne could hurl the diminutive winger at the ball at set pieces and try to deflect the ball into the opposition's net. Failing that, we could hook him up to our crossbar as protection against long distance lobs. A final option might simply be to lay him flat on the ground on the edge of our box and use him as a human trip hazard. That's his best chance of being MOTM, sadly.
How do you solve a problem like SWP, err?
