I give up,what happened to us in the second half, a different team showed up than the first half.l lost count how many times we gave the ball away, you could see the game slipping away at the start of the second half we went to sleep as though one goal would be enough.Manager has to go but probably won't.

Reed's dealings over the last two years have weakened the club in very area from top to bottom. If Les Reed doesn't go now we are in real danger of following Sunderland and Hull down to the bottom of the Championship next season. Remember Wolves Reserves beat us easily.

A New Year and nothing has changed. 1-0 up and the idiot decides to shut up shop. Send on Steven Davis and shore up the midfield. Palace score and plan A is still go. On goes Davis, Gabbiadini and Redmond that should secure us a win. By then Townsend, Zaha and Sako are running riot. Then Palace score the winner and Saints have lost what little fight they have left. This team is playing worse than ever. Pellegrono's selections and substitutions are becoming even more unfathomable. How the hell are we going to persuade anyone to come here. Turn in a great performance and you're dropped from the team for the next match. Turn in a poor performance and you start every week. Never mind at least the board believe you are doing a great job. This great club of ours is being torn apart. I started this season believing we could hold on to a top mid table position. The last two months have me convinced that we will be playing championship football next season. The board must act now and sack this clown.

If Saints go down, Reed can retire and Kreuger can resign, leaving Saints behind them without a thought. They both need to go now. Forster could have been sub all this season so far and we might be 6 to 10 points better off. Prowse is no better than anybody else at spot kicks. Statistically. I free kick miles too hard and 1 short corner completely c*cked up.

I guess this proves les reed is a genius. He has already created a championship caliber team for next year already

One step forward, five steps back. After the efforts at Old Trafford, there was life in the first half with lots of chances early on and plenty of pressure against a jittery defence. Very happy for Long who worked as hard as ever but largely on his own up front. Then came the second half. God knows what was in the half-time tea. Suddenly Saints started the pitter-patter play at the back and the Palace players sniffed a bit of blood and ran all over us. It was only a matter of time before they scored although Benteke was offside before he headed on to McArthur. But once they got one back, there was only one team in it. The pitch was not in a condition to play such intricate stuff at the back and Palace just kept on winning it back. A disastrous performance in the second half. And while we surrendered and didn't really deserve the win, the ref was utterly woeful letting God knows what go on including a rugby-style straight arm hand-off on Boufal and a stonewall penalty on Gabbiadini when he was pulled back on the far post.

@dovif

If only.

Wolves Reserves beat us easily.

We look more like Sunderland, a team which can't even cope with the challenges of the Championship.

Sadly, Les Reed hasn't prepared us for anything other than decline. He has got rid of every manager, coach, scout and player who worked to bring the club success and almost every new appointment he makes in management and in the coaching and playing staff is worse than the previous one.

Sadder than the result itself is the manager after the match throwing the players under the bus, talking about HIS tactics as if they were the team's fault. We've all said before this season...you can't sit back on a 1-0 lead in the PL, it doesn't mater what team you are. The opposition will ALWAYS push back and don;t need more than a second of good luck to draw level. This manager has lost us so many points by sitting back, and now he's trying to distance himself from the tactics as if they weren't his responsibility! Pathetic!
Meanwhile, nobody on our side played so terribly that we deserved to lose, but very few seemed to care whether we won or not. The fullbacks were the exception--Pied was excellent and Bertrand pretty solid. And Hojbjerg was again imposing, but those three seemed unable to inspire the rest.
I haven't been cvalling for MP's head so far, but have been very critical of his tactics--defensive at the wrong times and attacking when it's too late. But now that he's trying to blame the players for doing what he's been making them do all season, I've lost all sympathy. He really needs to go before he loses us any more points/
