I unfortunately stood with the Palace fans. I'm worried about our ability to create chances (and take them!). I hope it's a confidence thing. Redmond should have reacted quicker when Lamina fed him the ball! Lambert would have hit it instantly yet he wanted the 'championship' luxury of a touch to tee his shot up! He is not a prem quality player- he also owes Forster a beer for saving his bacon after an almost costly slip!

Could do with a team of Lemina's and a bench of Lemina's. Lucky Davisy scuffed it , might have gone straight to the keeper otherwise.

The starting line-up was a mistake. We were outplayed in the first half and lucky to go in at only 0 - 1 down. Much better for about 30 minutes in the second half, but then we ran out of steam. Fer looked knackered. Why he wasn't subbed is a mystery. At the end we threw the point we had fought hard for away.

Overall a promising performance. Based on this outing our manager seems to have sorted out the defence except for Forster. Pity VVD wasn't used in addition to Yoshida and Hoedt as we might have kept Lukaku at bay. Now Pelligrino needs to sort out the attack. As virtually every forward thrust came from Lemina maybe he should be instructed to look for Gabbiadini's smart runs. I do hope that the management have told Lemina that he will not be sold within at least two seasons. Best to educate him now because, after what I have seen at Palace and today, he will soon be tapped up by another club and the media will have him moving in January. Hate to say it again but Redmond is far too static too often, laying the ball off then standing still and watching. The referee gave us very little and the Fellaini antics were worthy of an Academy Award. More rolling around than a pig in mud.

Gave United far too much respect in the first half and rarely threatened their goal. All too often, when we had the chance to drive forward, we decided to go sideways instead. Davis, Redmond and Romeu created so many breakaway chances for United in the first half with poor passing or being caught in possession.
The goal was a bit disappointing. Young shouldn't have been allowed to get the cross in, Lukaku should have been marked better, or FF should have come out and punched, but they got lucky with the rebound going straight back to Lukaku.
2nd half we were a different team and Lemina led the charge at almost every attempt. Shame his team mates don't have the same skill and commitment he does. We pressured Man U at every opportunity, restricting them to just a couple of breakaway chances, but again, we seem to get camped in that 18 yards to 30 yards out - passing it from one side to the other until someone can actually cross it, or misses the pass. Still we had a few good chances but Redmond failed to get any power in his shots, Rom put it wide when a foot one side is a goal and a foot the other side is a tap in for Long and his header got cleared off the line by the acting cheating diving cvnt Fellani (how Austin would have loved that chance !)
Still we definitely had them worried - they must have had 6 defenders on at the end - desperately holding on for the points, kicking, pulling, cheating and feigning their way into wasting time. To cap it all, injury time is only 4 mins - should have been 6mins with all the subs and injuries to Fellani and Jones - and 3 minutes of those 4 are wasted with the sending off of Jose - which didn't get added on.
Still, a great second half performance at least, especially once we realised we could actually get something from the game. I hope we can put in a similar showing on at Stoke as we did in the second half today. Lemina is a quality signing and is now worth double what we paid for him !! Absolute quality player and man of the match by a country mile, even though the BBC said it was Romeu !!

Having had to listen to moanrinho bitch about other teams time wasting and spouting off about only one team wanting to play football I wonder if one of the so called football experts will call him out over his teams antics today? nope doubt it very much.

Much better performance today than the last home game. Starting to look like a team playing with confidence again.

Good second half performance. Best we have played this season with great energy and fitness. Despite this I did not see where a goal was coming from. We must try Gabbi with Long next week. Wouldn't an ugly win be good.

As much as some fans love him because he is a cheeky Irish chappy who tries hard and runs around a lot, Long is not a goal scorer or even a goal provider. In his 17 appearances since he last scored in the Premier League, against Sunderland last year, Long has managed just 1 assist v Middlesborough. He is currently taking the place of someone who might actually make or even score a goal.

I wasn't at the match. But I assume from the results that Caulker had a good game at the back and Wszolek was good in attack? Sounds like Osayi-Samuel had a shockingly poor game?
