Yep, pretty fair assessment. I can see why our second looked a bit iffy, but from my viewpoint the keeper didn't have both hands on the ball, Gordon slid in and played the ball, but momentum took him through to collide with the keeper. Whilst rolling in agony, the keeper still had the presence of mind to stick out a leg to trip Anderson in front of a virtual open goal. Still don't get why it wasn't a red card, there was no way it was an 'accidental' foul. |

To be honest, we looked flat and lethargic for much of the game. That being said, it wasn't a foul for their first goal, but very poor defending from the set piece unfortunately. For our first penalty I was certain the ref was going to book Hopper for diving. The second was clear cut, but why didn't the goalkeeper get sent off? Hopper was a nuisance throughout and deserved his standing ovation from the 421 faithful when he came off. I couldn't see what their penalty was for, admittedly from a long way away, so I'll watch the highlights with interest. However, we didn't deserve anything more than a draw, and I wasn't surprised when we didn't even get that. Still, we go again on Saturday with 3pts against Accy Stanley demanded. |

Also, the whole point of the spray - which solved so many infringement issues in an instant - is that the ref paces out the ten yards to where the wall must be from that spot. You can’t then decide to move the spot. Idiotic of the player, deserved his second yellow, and very unprofessional of the manager to try and put the blame on the referee. |

It's a tough ask, but not impossible. It'll probably take at least half of the remaining games to accrue the points over and above those gained by teams ahead of us to get into contention. To do that we will have to start turning more of these draws into victories. Our business in the January transfer window will be crucial, particularly if, as many are suggesting, Samson is likely to be sold. It's a pipe dream, but just imagine if Joe Taylor fancied another six months of fun at the JobServe Edit: and as a PS, we simply have to get Lyle Taylor on another contract asap. Very good game against very good opposition - probably the best we've seen at the JobServe. I really enjoyed it, but for Teddy's last second curler not finding enough of the inside post to give us the win I think we deserved. But still, it showed we shouldn't fear anyone in this league. 2025 is going to be an exciting second half of the season. Up the U's! |

Great stuff as always Durham. Pinot is right too, we have to be mentally prepared for the fact that eventually we will concede a goal, and eventually we’ll lose. I can cope with that, we’re showing real resilience and team spirit right now, so I’m confident that when these setbacks arrive, we’ll just dust ourselves down and get right back on the proverbial horse. I also think we’re going to give someone a right thumping soon… |

Popular opinion doing the rounds is that it cost the club revenue as well, with people giving up on the traffic chaos caused and going home. |

So I think I have all the answers, but I can’t for the life of me work out the anagram - does it make just the surname? |

In other news, I see we have sold out our allocation for Bromley away already. Not surprised really, think the allocation was only a few hundred or so. I read also that Crewe are expecting a big crowd tonight as well. Love Friday night football! |

LOL - kind of you to say. After 5 years, and with other stuff going on, I felt it was time to take a break. Maybe one day I might do something along those lines again :-) |
