This gave me a welcome bit of humour after watching the Hull game. |

Wouldn’t mind nicking a few on set pieces but accuracy and movement are needed even on set pieces and our boy doesn’t seem to like movement, too unpredictable and uncontrollable from the sidelines. |

Having just come back from a relaxing 60 min walk along a windy seashore I was about to say the same thing: a free area almost circular that gives the scorer an open shot at the whole width of the goal, almost uncanny. And the team was by no means lazy; for most of the game they pressed well, passed well and outran Derby., except in the last 5mins they looked disheartened. I think some of the guys on here are letting their disappointment cloud their judgement on the actual game. I know the team has played badly at times for a variety of reasons. Today was not one of them. |

Thought we continued our recent improvement:lplayed with more energy and more intent to play forward. Usual lack of finishing and a little lax defending for the goal. We were by far the better team. |

Agree with you: we all are aware of his limitations but we should also recognize he has been our best crosser of a moving ball so he should be used as you suggest and hope he’s not mesmerized by a standing ball, more time, different attitude etc, etc. |

Yes there are certainly some us who like it served up on a plate, so to speak, but most of us look for it all over the place. |

Surely we sheepshaggers have always been pansexual; ahead of our times, us! |

Think most of the criticism on this thread is justified. As for how the team is playing, I can’t help thinking that they remind me of a horse who has worked effectively with one riding style only to be expected to react appropriately to a new style which is haphazardly and inconsistently imposed. The horse ends up confused and resistant. Not an exact analogy perhaps, just an impression. However, at the end of this game I swore I would not get up again to watch a 4am game. Needless to say that’s another oath I am unlikely to fulfill. |

Jumping Jehoshaphat! This guy sounds just like innumerable Trumpian Republicans trying to deny that Russia was responsible for interference in US elections: in the face of incontrovertible facts claim that everyone is stupid when nothing else works. Is this just coincidence or is the special relationship between the US and UK still kept alive by some sort of Deep Subatlantic Right Wing State? Oh the horror! |

Double yep, especially considering the nature of hedge funds. The original primary investors, our double-headed investors, depend on the secondary investors(the Oprah’s of the world) to leverage the original purchase and to supply annual fees. Critically, Oprah and the others would be unable to recover their investments for as many years as stipulated in the original agreement, whatever the status of the original investment, namely us. Not a happy time for Kaplan and his pal whose sole concern would be minimizing damage to their own interests. Ah well, I’m not an expert in this area, just an amateur who learned how to leverage his own earnings into investments that minimized dependence on a pension. Perhaps, I’m wrong and being too pessimistic to boot. |
