Great article. Great performance. I was bouncing out of my seat at some of the fluid attacking play second half.
Just to add I think it was just two posters being strangely negative on the message board, not sure they even merit a mention in your report as I think they're doing it for attentuon - vast majority of us happy and rightly so. I still remember Portsmouth at home, wasn't that long ago. What a transformation. |

Excellent piece, thanks a lot Andrew. I love stats and data but it still needs to be weaved into a narrative which you've done superbly, and summarises how I feel about the the team improvement under Marti.
I'd sum us up in two words you used : "soft underbelly". When Cook fit, and Colback not getting sent off, it's better. But the softness is in the attitude of the whole squad, there's a losing mentality there. We need more captains, and a proven striker, and can't see how either are coming unless we sell. I suspect Chair will go on deadline day leaving us screwed to use the money |
