Don't think I was alone in thinking not that arrogant Pr*ck when he got the job. But fair play to him I've nothing but admiration with what he has achieved with this squad.
I didn't see those last 2 performances coming after the first 3 games. (I suspect it wasn't just me). A similar performance next game would that be too much to ask for? C'mon boys.
Some posters take dislikes to certain players and managers ability. Once that dislike is in place it's seems hard to shift. Any improvements they make is just not accepted by them. As I state it's some posters and not all of them.
Sadly I think they'll both go. They have shown this season great defensive abilities now and become less risk taking in possession. A number of clubs in this division with ambition and more financial clout will already have sounded them out.
Surely if the strike force is as inept as this. You can only use what you have at your disposal. He has u21 strikers who know where that elusive strange object 8 ft high x 24ft wide with a fishing net around it guarded generally by one man is.. Give them a go for heavens sake before it's too late.
There seems a reluctance to give the youngsters a start. If you looked at the table as an outsider you would probably think . Mid table fairly solid. It's only when you watch us do realise how negative and poor we look. Do we try someone who bangs in goals for the u21s or do we play our top scorers who are on 2 and 1 respectively? Even the Norwich full back is our joint 2nd highest scorer. We've not scored for over SEVEN hours. I don't see how not giving them at least a go would harm our current plight.
People are always entitled to their opinion whether they attend or not. I've lapsed going down over the years on at least another 2 occasions since the 70s. That would have been more for financial reasons. I'm not in that position anymore so this a choice. What would I bring back? I'm not really sure as the game in general appears to be going that way. The stats thing drives me up the wall. Listening to swans tv when the commentator seemed to claim a victory with us having twice as much possession as Blackburn. I thought now's the time to exercise the dog. I watched Potters season when we lost 3-2 at home to Ipswich and thinking although we lost. I enjoyed that game. Ok one thing to bring back would be entertainment.
The football continues to be tedious and just more of the same. I gave up my season ticket 3 seasons ago because I was basically bored with the football. I could then hang that on a previous incumbent. However 3 seasons later watching from home I feel exactly the same Biggest difference is I can now either turn to another game or take the dog for a walk. The excitement and looking forward to the next game has been taken from me.
Stats. There's only one stat that really counts. Yesterday watching Villa Everton. Villa had 86% possession and were 2-0 down. Ok they came through in the end. I'm happy to have less possession but more goals. The modern day obsession with stats on everything is bewildering. Well certainly for me it is.
